How competent or incompetent was Hermann Göring?

He's obviously a bad person, but in terms of military combat how competent or incompetent was Göring?

He was a very competent politician. He was basically removed from command of the luftwaffe because of his incompetence but was largely a figure head. The luftwaffe had some great leaders that had they been allowed to command would have done better.

From what I read, if he cared, white capable. But he was more interested in gaining wealth and stealing art than working. A lot of nazis were like this ironically. Nazi efficiency was a myth.

He was given like 15 jobs in the Reich. He was the Jared. Kushner of the Nazis. And never really did a good job anywhere. Even in creating an Air Force.
