1 yChancellor Merz indeed changed his mind of what to say mid sentence.
He's the same kind of poser and babbler as Trump is. This entire TV show set-up was - again - not necessary.
About ''D-Day'' -> totally over rated and over discussed.
Germans (or better: Germanians) once d-dayed the Romans when they had silly ideas.
So... what!
The reference in your question to ''Hitler'' is abstract and pointless. True: the Germany as we see it today is one result of Hitler - but not the only result. To speak of ''victims'' is tremendously tendensational phrasing. There are at least about 1000 more years in history to consider. --- that's a time span that the U. S. in its present arrangement perhaps never will experience.
(Forgive my innovative use of English terms - it's my freedom of speech... or thinking, rather)
117 ReplyThink, baby, think :D
It was sarcasm, darling
Yes I enjoy my sarcasm... and my own cultural background/history. I have one.
Your ''punch'' about Hitler's 1000 years... well... that joke is a little worn out, don't you think. You missed that detail twice now. The other 1000 years count more, definitely.
Add 1000 years earlier when my people kicked the arses of the Romans. - without 'nukes', by the way.Teutoburg Forest battle was about 9 a. d. (some 10 miles from where I grew up some time later)
''We'' actualy did NOT spread. These were other tribes - the Franks for example.
Or do you believe that present ''Germany'' is Germannic? Far off. I identify as Cherusci if anything.
The affairs of others aren't ours. Just don't come to steal our homes. He had been a military leader who was trained in Rome. The name was Arminius (or ''Hermann'' in Cherusci.) ''Slaves'' never won any wars in history. Yes: he was considered to be an ''ally'' which gave him leverage and opportunity.
- this is a good moment right now to spend some thoughts on ''NATO'' - heh heh -
But you point out an analogy that I believe to see myself: it took another 400 years for Rome to disappear; and they did.
Americanesian perspective looks similar to me - although I expect only another 100 years at max. until this experiment is over, too.
... Coming back to where we started: can you now see how INSIGNIFICANT this Trump and this Merz are overall?
From how I see it: neither capitalism nor communism or socialism are sustainable concepts on the long run. As much as the idea of the Soviet Union went down, I expect that the Americanesian attempt also will reach its limits beyond rescue. Unfortunately, all those who prostitute their cultures to the same ideas will go down as well.
I don't see any region of this planet to simply disappear - there will always be individual people inhabiting them.
The experiment I have in mind is one of endless greed that sacrifices/ignores individual needs of those who are unable to compete or to participate.
''Your'' President, or someone's ''Chancellor'', or ''Emperor'' or ''Prime Minister'', or ''Fuehrer'', or ''Caliph'' or such are - again- irrelevant in overall mankind's history. They are temporary functions only. Nothing lasts.I think it will continue to exist - just... differently.
So ---> aren't we in kind of an agreement here about where ''we'' are right now?

Same with trump today. The majority was deceived by him until it was too late and he showed his true colours, one part was against it but couldn't do anything without being imprisoned or worse, from that part some where too scared To do anything the others died for speaking up.
The last part loved it from the beginning to end, the true nazis.
Yes it divided the country that's literally why germans are saying you can see our history repeat under trump. Also do you know how he even got the majority? Because he only got voted by around 40% not even the majority but then he blamed his enemies for a violent uprising that was done and escalated by himself to get rid of the political opposition. Literally trumps playbook. - 1 y
That was the second repeated vote when the enemy's party was made illegal.
I have studied hitler as any other german. It's part of our history, and we learn from history. That's why we are telling you, American Guys how you do our history this very moment. It's not too late to get rid of trump before he becomes hitler 2.0 because that's his plan and he can't be more obvious about it. He plays by the dictator for dummies handbook 101. - 1 y
If you want to know how the support for that was, it was exactly like ICE. Most didn't even know they killed them but they were considered enemies, so it was ok anyway, it started with deportations not with killings. Exactly like ICE, is doing right now. That's literally the same situation when it started.
- 1 y
Oh before that it started by people being ok with discrimination and propaganda to make innocent people the "enemies". Same what trump is doing with lgbtq+ and immigrants. It's literally 1:1 the same.
You would have supported 100% supported hitler back than I am sure of it. The way you speak about trump doing the same and you thinking it's good. "Trump has done nothing but good so far" when he has copied hitler so far is saying a lot about you. - 1 y
You don't have to agree with other peoples lifestyles unless it's white christian hetero lifestyle than you do.
But yeah keep telling yourself you are not doing the same, that nazi supporters back then did. Just remember the nürnberg trials, following orders doesn't mean you are not guilty. - 1 y
Nuremberg, as in I was correcting you not agreeing with what you think of ICE. They are following laws that have been in place. Why all of a sudden are they wrong? Because screwed up left-wing crazy maniacs tell us they are? Wrong! We have a system that makes and changes laws. It's not up to mob rule.
- 1 y
How are you not getting it? Following orders is what the Nürnberg Trials were about. Just because it's a law doesn't mean it's not inhumane. Deporting Jews WAS the law! That's exactly why ICE is the same as the Gestapo. They dont have due process.
In addition to that, there have been multiple people who were wrongly deported but couldn't be brought back. Guess why? They are not sitting in a tidy prison or being legally deported. Because deportation, in the legal sense, is bringing them back to their home country, not into a KZ. I am astonished at how you see that Nazis were bad, but still support EXACTLY the same things they did. I can't fathom the hypocrisy. - 1 y
What don't you understand. ICE is adhering to our laws that have been in place. They are deporting those who came here over the four years of the Biden regime. These are not new laws fashioned to deport citizens like the dirty nazis did to citizens who had lineage for a thousand years and more. There's no comparison to what your country did during and building up to the holocaust.

@msmissydc Oh, he knows he's a Nazi.

Except that ICE under trump doesn't care about laws. They don't use court orders, they "accidentally" deport the wrong people with no way of bringing them back. They don't technically "deport" because that means bringing people back into their homecountry, they bring them into KZs. They try to stay anonymous because they know they are not doing legal things. Which would be illegal for law enforcement, which they are not. Being in a country is not even breaking a law. You just have no allowance to stay there. All the while you support a convicted fellon. So don't pretend to care about laws.
You don't realize that laws can be inhumane right? Enforcing a law o t of pure hatred is not right. Because thats what is done.
Are you blind to your hypocrisy?
