I support Syria, which also suffered severe damage and loss of life from the quake.
The Turkish government has stolen Syrian equipment and resources, and sent terrorists into the country over the past few years. It can use that money to rebuild. But I don't support thieves and murderers.
Before this quake, Syria was already reeling from the U. S. proxy war by head-chopping terrorists, as well as a complete siege (sanctions) imposed by the U. S. and its allies that have left it vulnerable.
Just out of curiosity, doesn't Syria support terrorists?
Syria has been Israel's enemy since 1948, yet has sent Syria aid after the earthquake, although interestingly enough, Syria denies that got any. I guess it would put them to shame if an enemy you have tried to snuff out in many wars, turns around and gives you aid.
@Daniela1982. I'm not aware of Syria attacking Syria. I do know that Israel fires rockets in the Syria constantly, and it assisted the terrorists who were recruited, paid, armed and trained to destroy Syria, just as they did with Libya. That was the the U. S.'s work, but the U. S. also does Israel's bidding.
And I don't believe for one minute that Israel sent any aid. How would they get it there. Sounds like typical Israeli propaganda.
@Daniela1982
"Just out of curiosity, doesn't Syria support terrorists?"
Um, no? They had to fight against them. Besides, Turkey early was buying oil directly from ISIS (that ISIS was pumping when it took over land from Syria), just letting you know 🤷♂️
Well I pity you if you think in this way then, I mean noone is obligated to help to another and I wouldn't even criticize anyone if they don't help. However, I pity you because you sort of connect what current corrupted Turkish Government did with those innocent people who're waiting under building wrecks, while some of them are freezing to death and some already died cause of starving, dehydrating or because a huge piece of wreck fell upon them. Just because you accuse and blame what Erdogan did, you also choose to not help children or old people there thats why I pity you, but everyone got a choice and you chose to be like that.
Besides all of it, as a Turkish citizen I never supported the current government who did contemtible deal with ISIS, I always voted for the opposition parties to put an end to that crap. I also didn't blame U. S citizens aswell for creating ISIS a-like groups around Middle East and bringing chaos to everywhere tho.
Hello Turkey, thank you very much for your support, I am also writing from Turkey, please help.
I understand what some posts say about settling political scores. But earthquake victims are people like you and I, not terrorists, thieves or murderers. They need basics like shelter, beds, blankets clean water and food. And they must dig through rubble to recover and bury their dead. Compassion must have no political boundaries. Send your aid money out of compassion whether it be to Syria or Türkiye/Turkey or war refugees elsewhere.
If I posted this it would be removed as Spam, trolling or being offensive. Every group, country, or organization want donations, while never giving a dime to our National disasters. We are ignoring our own citizen's needs. All we do is give, give, give, while going deeper into National Debt. We can't even help our homeless and homeless vets while donating Billions to Ukraine. It's a disgrace. * hops off soap box*
It's neither trolling nor is it offensive, but yeah it's spam by the site's very own definition. It's solicitation. "If you include links or personal information for the sole purpose of advertisement or solicitation, your post will be removed. Posts that solicit members in any fashion are considered Spam (this would include asking for contact or other personal information)."
@musicbrain5 I'm saying that if I put up a post soliciting money for a cause my church has, it would be removed as Spam. It is a matter of the administration here picking and choosing while doing the same thing. I figure we get enough of that from our own government. Do we need it on G@G too? :(
Yes, I was pointing out that they are not following their own very specific rule about this. And so if administration is allowed to do this, where are the admins other posts with links asking us to donate to other charitable causes and disaster relief funds around the world? Why is it only this one that is allowed?
@daniela
You are quite right and I’m beyond fed up with this.
Yeaaaa! Globalism. Soon we will be able to help no one as we will be poorer as a people and our government won’t be able to pay their debts.
That’s ok. Let’s just have an 80% tax rate to fix it for everyone, and eat bugs and leaves to survive as our government scratches their heads, confused why we have run away inflation as we bankroll the war in the Ukraine and give like $85 million to Pakistan to fund gender studies. Exporting Woke ideology to anywhere it doesn’t exist and every nation it hasn’t yet perverted is far more important as is bankrolling wars while the rest of the world sits on their hands.
@Exterminatore 🤩👍👍👍
@Exterminatore just having Biden in office has caused us as a country a huge disaster.
Islamic relief. They’re quite reliable. But I don’t think many people here are Muslim as in Islam we’re quite charitable and by looking at the tones of some people they’re letting politics get in the way of having some humanity?

As being a sincerely Turkish person I have read all of opinions posted here by people are usually from the USA or European countries. I really wonder why are westerners always pretending "humanitarian role" in case of their own benefits or something bad happened that are linked with themselves? Why do they always use "human" factors over their own people? Why are humanitarian and democratical things obviously and deliberately forgotten when the matter is about Islam or Middle-Eastern states? Is Earth consist of western world? The quest should remain to be addressed these unanswered issues..
With all this happening, I'm more curious about 2 other things:
1.) Why nobody in the west cares about Syria, which was also affected?
2.) Why nobody is mentioning Incirlik air base, that allegedly contains ~50 nukes and is very close to where earthquake happened? Or possible Turkosima and Turkosaki that'd wipe half of the country isn't of a concern to them, including Turks themselves?
I’m not donating a single cent. My country has, unfortunately, sent them several millions in aid anyway. I don’t like turks, every single one I’ve known have turned out to be fake, manipulative, perverted and just straight up mean. Turkey as a country/the government is fucked too. Trying to blackmail other countries to get their will and teach their kids in schools to look down upon or hate non muslims, especially christians and jews. Just to mention a couple of things.
Im sorry that you have encountered bad people only. Its probably because the contexts where you encountered them. Turkey is a country founded by Ataturk and we don't like fascist Muslims, also hate our government more than you do. Thank you for remembering that bad people could be everywhere. Loves from Turkey.
I wonder where are you from tho, most propably some of those inferior countries which was ruled by Turks back in the day so u still have a butthurt. We don't need your money anyway, you don't have to like someone or group of people aswell.. however, if you blame everyone ( children, old people, babies included under those building wrecks ) then you're a disgusting person anyway, you're a microbe which world has to get rid of lmao.
Why bother donating to them? I’m sure the US gov’t will donate multimillions of dollars to them, then scratch their heads and act confused as to why we have run away inflation, just like they’re doing now as we bank roll the Ukrainian side of the war.
However, should this not occur which is extremely unlikely, then all who can should donate.
We don't ask for any help from terrorists and their supporters. We have overcome many, and going to overcome many of them. ;)
Respects from TURKISH ARMED FORCES!
I've donated already as I pay federal taxes and the government sent them some of my tax money.
Be careful where you donate, many are scams. The United States will have already sent billions in aid in the first few hours. There's not much your $10 can do right now.
I am aware bounce up the get ready for earthqauake all around here as we are not too far from there
I am aware of the donation options and trying to figer out the best way in the end to do so
I would prefer to donate to rescue the 57,000 homeless veterans in the USA.
I understand you consider your own people first... Loves from Turkey.
I'm not helping or donating to the people who celebrate terrorist attacks in Europe and wish death upon the infidel.
My government is already sending aid to them. As far as I'm concerned, since my tax dollars are already going to help and I can't afford to contribute my own money directly, that is enough.
Know about but did not know this. Who is handling the money...
Doctors Without Borders is a really good organization.
We received the news of the death of some of our friends, I live in Turkey, we are in a very difficult situation.
Children, babies, people are waiting for help. Please do not lose your prayers, I hope none of you experience this pain.
Kick out Erdogan, and I'll consider to send help.
I don't expect many people from this website to donate anything. They are mostly cold-hearted at the best of times.
It's especially unfortunate because of the weather as well. God is always testing us. How will we respond?
Turkey refuse to let Americans search for Noah's Ark in their country. What are they afraid of? They don't help Americans, why should we help them? That being said, I'm sure the US will, even though they are already taking care of millions of illegal immigrants to the tune of $Billions. We appear to be everyone's cash cow. 😕😮🙄🤢
Americans need help too. but no, let's print money and get the citizens pay off the debt.
This is not the place for this type of post.
Yes and I donated to Red Cross International.
I don't like Turkey and neither does anyone on my mom's side of the family because of the genocide against Armenians
Yes, I have seen all this disaster in Turkey and Syria, my Pakistan Government and public is already in action to provide mamimum humanitarian aid to both brother countries
What about SYRIA?
Maybe to our homeless veterans instead
Still can't believe what happened
I thought it was Seria?
It's both. It hit an area that's both in Syria and turkey.
@TacosRAwesome Ill support Syria but not Turkey.
@blondfrog I mean people died but you do you.
@TacosRAwesome I only feel bad for the Syrians. Many Turkish people are very nationalistic and dont support other countries when this sort of thing happens. Plus you do realize Turkey has money right? Do you have any idea how rich Erdogan is? Why should we be giving such a rich country money?
@TacosRAwesome He won't let a little human death and suffering stop him from making a political point.
@RolandCuthbert Right exactly!
Yes it’s been on the news. Very sad.
Pray
