I laugh when people still try to claim that violent video games cause more real life violence and that adult films (live action or lewd anime) causes more seggxual assault and cheese pizza crimes when these claims were either debunked so many times or never factually proven with crime statistics yet too many people in this retarded society still continue to beat this dead horse.

The way I see it, quite frankly, is that people who still make these bogus claims are ironically those who preach to the choir to everyone else about personal responsibility and self-accountability yet don't actually practice them themselves and just want to use video games and adult content as easy scapegoats for real-world problems mostly caused by stupid irresponsible parents or "adults".

maybe they do factor in but stuff like video games and films/porn as so widespread most people can and do access them - it's more a matter of how much violent or sexual content a person consumes because that would then affect their mental health and life, especially if they've already got mental health issues or a background in violence or anything that hasn't been dealt with - some people are just more prone to being influenced by media, i personally think it stems from childhood and your upbringing, problems in your life can lead to YOU causing problems and obviously there's definitely an element of personal responsibility because at a certain age, you're definitely capable of making your own decisions and can't just blame having a shitty parent on shooting up a school or raping someone because a lot of people have problems but find better ways of coping

In this day and age, it's going to be more uncommon to hear that someone hasn't played any video games before. But imagine the goal of the game was killing and torturing people, if the motive of the killer was curiosity, wondering what the real deal was like compared to the game experience, there isn't much else to say.
