If the idea of celebrating parents day arises in the mind of someone, it's probably because they themselves know that how they treat their parents is wrong. A day for celebrating the love for parents is one thing, but worship them? That just sounds like the work of someone who doesn't like others enjoying life.
As in a day to worship parents? HELL NO. And I am one -- I wouldn't want my poor kids to have to do that either. Gagggggg.
I think it's lamer than Valentine's lmao
I'm just happy to be in your company haha
It's like the overpriced flowers weren't enough so now they replaced it with calling parenthood godhood
My mom saw it and now she's depressed that she found brother and I laughing over it and high fiving
Tough love is really trending in India. If only they did something about that.
Mom's depressed mood is awesome?
no no no no no... what was awesome was the vignette of a mother feeling one way about a thing and that mother's children laughing about and feeling the opposite about the very same thing. It's the perfect picture of most parent/child relationships and an ironic reflection of this very parent worship day.
Ohh 😯😯
Mom is an ace so she probably doesn't like ANY sexual relationships hehe
Asian parents already have entitlement issues
Just search up Asian parents meme on YouTube
It seems odd that a Hindu would want to bother with a Christian day.
Which Hindu and how is that a Xtian day?
I’m A Christian so I can’t worship Any Human.

At this point there's a holiday to honor the stop sign at the end of my street, none of it means anything anymore we've made up so much bullshit
Wholeheartedly agreed
How's than any different to what it's normally like? Ain't one of the aspects in India is to worship your parents.
Asian parents do have entitlement
nope thats called associating partners with God wich is haram as a muslim
Lol I’m not celebrating such a day. The max I can do is gift something to my parents but not label it as worship parents day. No disrespect though.
I'm not Hindu. So I don't know much about your culture. Is this an actual holiday?
It seems like it is similar to Mother's Day or Father's Day.
It's not. Some spiritual guru feels it'd stop teen pregnancy lmao.
@anon1903 I read your update. I don't understand their logic, though. What does Valentine's Day have to do with sex? Valentine's Day is about Love.
Both are pointless. Only thing I worship is God, and in any case my parents are with him.
No. I would not celebrate it. I only celebrate American holidays.
I worship G-d and G-d only. He created me for nothing but so I would worship Him.
No. That's my birthday pretty much.
Nope. I don't celebrate anything.
I thought it was cow worship day🐄
It is/was common in India
No. It's a new thing.
I already celebrate it daily.
Nope
Ah, no!
Whaaaaaat?
Yep. #SayNoToValentines
Why would anyone who isn't Hindu partake in that?
Because purity culture is prominent in India
That doesn't answer my question - why does it matter to anyone who isn't Hindu?
The guy who started it started off with lecturing on Hindus. So it's more of Indian self restraint.
Probably not.
