+1 yYes, Mothers Day is celebrated more. If I recall, FDR declared it a special day in the middle of the Depression. Fathers Day was created later by card makers to sell cards other than Happy Wedding in June.

+1 yMotherâs day is definitely more celebrated than fatherâs day. Probably for all of the reasons you suggested. Also, itâs newer. Motherâs day was an official holiday for almost six decades before fatherâs day. To my knowledge, motherâs day doesnât draw the same protests as fatherâs day either. Every year, feminists gather to declare that men are some combination of useless and evil, and fathers donât deserve to be recognized. Ell oh ell!
Ever since industrialization, fathersâ contributions to the family have been almost wholly overlooked and taken for granted. Father leaves the house all day. Nobody really knows where he goes or what he does. Itâs not like he comes home with a wad of cash to splash about either. He might have enough time to share a meal between chores and getting himself ready for the next day at work. He might be tired and/or grumpy and not want to put that on his family, so he withdraws.
Make no mistake though, most men would not put themselves through the wringer for their own sake the way they do for family. One of the broadest surveys of its kind showed that over 80% of fathers would happily work less in order to have more time for their families IF the family wouldnât suffer financially for the trade. Meanwhile, only about 15% of women said that they would pick up extra hours in order to afford their husbands that privilege. The tender years doctrine essentially made law the idea that mothers are vital, but fathers are not. Though widely debunked now, most of the laws created and precedents set from the premise of the doctrine remain on the books. The SPLC lobbies to classify menâs groups as domestic terrorist organizations. That includes fathers advocacy groups. So itâs not just thankless to be a dad, itâs criminal to support them. Ell oh ell! What a wonderful world weâve created!00 Reply 609 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. I think many guys are neglected affection so they don't expect it. Because it's better to protect one's emotions and expectations than get upset every time.
The same way when you start getting older and birthdays become less. So you just stop expecting a good birthday.

+1 yI think there are more people close to their moms then people close their dads cause usually the man has an easier time earning money so he is more likely to spend his time earning money while the woman often works fewer hours so has more time to devote to the kids. I know families where the children are around the mother over 3 times as much as the father cause the father has a busy job.

+1 yYes, ofc
Because MOST of time, the mothers do everything. Cooking, cleaning, caringâŚ. while working full time. This society expects women to do perfect in everything to be a âgood motherâ. However, the dad? As long as he brings money and doesnât abuse you, he is a âgood fatherâ 🙃10 Reply- 2.7K opinions shared on Family & Friends topic.

in Mexico is just the culture... same as Catholicism is 90% about the mother of god... La Virgen Maria
forget about god and nation... moms are first, second and third, lol
and that's how we're raised
+1 yBecause while we respect and admire fathers, mothers are on a pedestal, because we're not here without them and the birth pains they undergo in having us. Also, they nurture us and give us (especially lads) the TLC we don't generally get from our fathers, who are gruffer and usually stricter ( though no less loving) than our mother.

+1 yI just think in general men donât care about holidays and formalities to the extent that women do. My mom always was like expectations of how she wanted to be pampered on Motherâs Day or her Bday but my dad just wanted to be left alone and not fussed over ever.

@dolemite58. Your Dad knew no one would pamper him anyway.

However, the "happy Father's Day to all of the mothers who are mother and father" and "the deadbeat father of my kid isn't around. Happy Father's day to me" piss me off.

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yI think it is more celebrated than father's day, because people care too much about women and their motherly status, and usually mother's are better looking than father's, and mother's always look after the kids and play with them then a father would, and that's not a bad thing.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yOf course Mother's Day is more celebrated than Father's Day. That's an objective fact. Why? Because society values women more than men, and feminists have spent decades reinforcing the message that men are unnecessary, or worse.

Motherly love ⤠probably
Society doesn't care about men, that's why. Even though fathers are actually more important than mothers for raising kids.
18 Reply- +1 y
Then why isn't there more stay at home dads if they are more important than moms? The truth is they are both equally important
- +1 y
Children from single mother households are over 80% of all convicted felons in prison. Children from single mother households often have behavior and academic problems. They also commit suicide more often. Single father households perform almost as well as two parent households.
Being a stay at home parent is far easier, that is why most women, even the ones that claim the opposite, won't work to support the family while the father stays home to take care of the children and house. - +1 y
The number is closer to 55-60% and it's of single parent homes, not just single mother homes.
The reason for that has to do with poverty more than it does a mother being responsible for how they are being raised. Although there are studies that show that girls raised by moms are less likely to be offenders and sons raised by dads are less likely to be offenders.
Being a stay at home parent is not easier than working. Generally stay at home parents work far longer than 8 hours, do so for no pay or days off, and do so with little appreciation for what is done. - +1 y
Single mother homes are the problem. And the more it is women's fault, the more they lie and deny any responsibility as usual.
Here's some interesting information you may want to see.
www.fixfamilycourts.com/.../
What do the stay at home parents do for 8 + hours per day? Because if they claim it is work, they are LYING. It isn't even close to that. That is just something that many women frequently lie about because they don't want to admit how easy of lives most of them have compared to men. And that is the same reason why most women would never be the provider while the father is a stay at home parent. - +1 y
No, single parent homes in general are a problem no matter if it's a single mom or dad. I have a site too with a link to an actual government site with the numbers.
www.politifact.com/.../
Maybe you don't have any but raising children isn't just a 9-5 job. It's all day and typically the stay at home parent is expected to take care of them while the employed person "gets to rest from work". Stay at home parenting especially gets looked at as something easy but it's not. I mean I work full time and I still have to deal with two kids while I'm working and when I'm off so I can attest to how taxing it can be. - +1 y
I agree with @HighValue 110%
You sir are an incredibly smart man. Wish I had all the facts like you do - +1 y
@Ez-Bri-Z_v2 Good job using a liberal site as a source that is well known for lying.
- +1 y
I could say the same for your site, which is using misleading data to make a point for themselves. You are telling me that the data from the government site is liberally leaning? Well, if that's your take, then I really don't have anything more to say to you.
You've made up your mind to use factually incorrect data just to make a point about how bad women supposedly are.
