haha. we need more options. It depends, and where is the heart?
I ran into this when reading the Bible where it talked about taking slaves. That throws a person that wants to believe into an emotional S____ hole fast. But ya gotta realize that God is love, and that's the inspiration... in spite of a fallen state of human emotional affairs. We have to manage humans...
So it's perfectly good and reasonable... when you have love for the other person (s). How is that possible? Simple... when you have someone that is broken, starving, cannot function on their own... for possibly no fault of their own or bad fate, then what are the choices. After all, they need some attention NOW, they may need training and upbringing... and what is your compensation for giving to them?
And the answer is taking on a "slave". This word when heard can offend the ear, but hear it from a view point of... I really care about the wellbeing of this other person. A selfish narcicisstic brain /caloused heart will have a hard time with this...
So you take in this other person give them shelter, food, training... for 7 years Max! in exchange, you gain from their labor. After that, you turn them loose so they can live the life God made for them... e. g. love.
Then it's ok.
It does not mean you take advantage of, abuse, etc.. This is the corrupt human heart.
We have to deal with corrupt human hearts and so if you propose such models, it will be near impossible to manage, and so, it doesn't work in practicality... because so many are corrupt and hard to manage.
And so... many many many suffer without, lacking support... because the hearts are caloused and far from "god".
It is a crime against all humanity People were born to be free.
Can you give us more details about the question if you’re saying initially, is it wrong yes.
Thanks still confused
It is so wrong I'm amazed anybody needs to ask

Very wrong and bad for the economy. I believe a large percentage of the population would commit any immoral act provided it was legal and they knew they'd get into no trouble.
Take Colin Kapernick's adoptive parents, they kept him like a field slave and only adopted him so they could have a pro athlete African American child, kinda like that movie blindsided.

Depends what you mean by it.
The USA still has the high number of slaves today. Though they are legally called "convict labour" and the 13th amendment allows it. Also "working poor" among other titles is the same as slavery..
China also has a sizable slave population, but as it's a communist country they have a different concept of slavery.
Slavery is a human constant, and there will always be slaves, just under different titles.
I have worked as a prison doctor in the past. Prison labor has a beneficial effect that is rarely mentioned - prisoners with jobs, even menial ones, demonstrate better mental health and less recidivism than those without work, and present much less of a danger to staff. Prisoners will actively seek out jobs when they are offered and are very protective of their right to work. It is really not viewed as punishment by inmates and staff, but rather as a privilege. If I had to be in prison, I would far prefer to work than be tortured with boredom.
So you are asking is human trafficking, and kidnapping people to force them to work for you is wrong.
Okay
I don't think slavery is wrong if a person brought their slave and the person sold themselves to be a slave or were born into it.
We should make woke people the slaves.
Simples...
it's never been right
No shit its wrong.
