Is slavery necessarily a bad thing?

This is a question that many powerful men must ask themselves. Perhaps your instant response would be that of the common man: "Slavery is bad. It robs someone of their free will."

What, with our modern laws and woke mentalities, of course that's the acceptable response, according to the Federal government, who has their own motivations. But, as someone of enormous power myself, I've seen firsthand how ordinary minds can become enriched by extraordinary influence.

Think of this situation: what if aliens landed on the planet and enslaved humans to build their homes, their UFO charging devices, their landing pads and cook their food. As a byproduct of that, we obtain telepathic powers and a deeper understanding of the universe. Or, imagine that we were a race of devil-worshipping voodoo practitioners who, from our masters, obtained an understanding of God. Shouldn't we then be grateful to our masters?

Slavery always occurs where very, very rich people exist.

It tells you that certain subsets of incredibly rich people are emotionally psychopathic. They won't pay people to do work for them, they want slaves to do it for nothing. They want people without rights, totally at their own beck and call.

I'd like those very, very rich people forcibly enslaved for a minimum of 10 years. I'd like to taunt them, stop them having sex, make them work through the night, use a few of the defined tortures according to the Geneva Convention on them. See how they like it.

The only way to make slaveowners learn to behave is to enslave them for long enough that they either learn or kill themselves. Give them the choice.

But don't let them learn as free men... they crossed the rubicon by enslaving others, they don't get treated as free men/women thereafter.

People with jobs in cubicles are slaves. Slaves got food and housing and punishment. Cubicle workers get money for food and housing and they are punished every day by degrading bosses and co-workers and mindless, menial work. They have no meaningful lives, just the same old thing, day-in and day-out.

Theodor Herzl says in his book "Jewish State": "People should work 8 hours and die when they work 12 hours. We need a permanent worker, not a dead worker." This is modern slavery. The system puts you in such a way that you just work and get nothing.
Become very rich if you want. Because none of the families at the top of the richest list, that is, at the top, want a rival. Do you think those who split their cake will make you eat their cake? They never want you to work for them.

By the way, after the arrival of Islam, slavery began to abolish. Freeing a slave is a great reward in Islam.

No. In aincient Rome slaves could hold highly respected jobs. Greek slaves were highly prized as doctors.

That depends, I'm agaianst the slavery practiced by colonialism because that's just purely off of racial superiority, the slavery practiced prior to the fall of Rome were usually men (and their wives and kids) who were taken prisoner by losing a war and slavery is them and their offsprings life I find less of an evil act.

It is not really slavery if it is paid for directly or indirectly and is voluntary. If it is involuntary, it is slavery no matter how great the benefit.
