I’m indifferent to it. There are a lot of really good things about the US. And there are a lot of completely horrible things about the US. Our education system is garbage, our political system is corrupt, and people getting murdered by cops has become almost as frequent as shooting up schools. But I also have the freedom to marry another woman if I chose to do so, and defend myself with lethal force (in most states)
The US sure as fuck isn’t perfect, but it is still home.
I'm a Canadian but the US is ok in my books.
Yes, I do. I'm very happy to be an American. Sure, our politics and our culture are heading in a very dark direction right now, but there are still plenty of people working to try to make things better. We have very good ideals and values and we are very welcoming. Like any other nations and cultures, we have our past sins and there is still work to be done to improve things here, but all things considered, this is still a great country.
Don't love it but I do like it a lot though.
Bro why
Because I love my heritage country first.

i am not American but i love the movies and tv shows... love the musix and i learned a lot about beauty and productivity through yt vlogs.
with western culture in general i am still culture shocked but no culture is perfect and since there are lots of people who have mental issues due to high level of stress there are also a lot of mental experts which i benefited. not that i'm looking down on my fellow Filipinos because i believe there are lots of brilliant Filipinos too. it's like if you have a lot of patient you will really be an expert on your field apart from nice education that western schools have. i benefited so here i am still alive and kicking thank you Jesus! and thankful to all the people who helped me
Why should anyone pledge allegiance to a flag, or country, anywhere? Right now, I'm ashamed of the idiocy I see going on with the so called "leaders" of this country. They're hypocritical haters preaching lies while claiming to be good "Christians", which shouldn't play a role when it comes to ACTUAL DECISIONS for governing this country.
12% of the USA's population lives in poverty, another 10% live just above the poverty line, and we're the richest country in the world. We also have more people in jail per capita than any other country. There's a lot not to like about the USA right now.
Besides, the pledge itself is full of hypocrisy, most notably:
"... with liberty and justice FOR ALL " !! For all? Really? What a bunch of shit that is.
I went to many high school basketball games... everyone stood for the flag and our anthem.
It's some areas and people.
yes, but I don't love some of our decisions and behavior. The list of problems is long.
Most people I meet are good decent people. I think we are really failing in our social connectedness, community and that be disaster if goes on too long. We can fix that.
I love that i have always lived in the country comfortably. I like most of the food. I enjoy the scenery, theme parks and attractions. I love the diversity and that the majority are quite fluent in English. There is a lot that i don’t like but this is still home and the only country i want to live in. I dont even want to visit other countries (aside from Bahamas and Canada). And i really dont even care to leave the continent unless I’m going to visit Australia
I feel you on this. I don't see America as something exceptional but as a place like any other. But unlike other places, it's the one I'm most familiar with.
@Ad_Quid_Orator yea im all about familiarity. The other countries i named would still feel like home too so thats why i named em
I'm not American , but the whole flag waving , patriotic , hand on heart stuff is quite pathetic , its despised by the best part of the world , the " I am " " I , I , I " thing is quite sickening.
The good parts of the USA system are good , no doubt , but this stuff above is utterly despised and is utterly cringeworthy.
Why? Because the country is a COUNTRY. That is worthy of respect. Its people, ideals, and accomplishments are worthy of respect. A rag on a stick, however, is not. Kids are refusing because they're not as stupid as they used to be.
As to denigrating the country- it's a democracy, dude. Open expression of dissent is the purest form of loyalty, because it's only tolerated in a truly free country.
I love America, and I wish we had a president that did, also. Beijing Biden removed Lee Greenwood from the National Endowment for the Arts. No letter, no phone call, just an email. Biden is a pathetic weasel.
@Jersey2
Maybe. Greenwood loves America, so he had to go.
She doesn’t deserve to be in this country. I say we swap her for the next immigrant and send her to that country. Some people are selfish and don’t care about anything but themselves. That is bred into them by that age. She won’t ever do anything for the country, just a free loader.
I really love the USA. Not the government or the psychos who run it, but the philosophy of Freedom and Liberty for everyone. And the notion that anyone can succeed if they work for it.
Its not perfect and there's still work to be done, but we've accomplished a lot and achieved enormous victories in the quest for civil rights, human rights, and personal liberty.
Well if it actually happened and isn't a bogus lawsuit trying to get paid. If you wonder why your kids don't have enough teachers and teach very few subjects it could be that the lawyers took the money.
None of the above. I love our landscapes, our nature, our historic sites, our many cultures, but I hate our politics and a lot of our laws, customs and mentalities
I like where I live and everything. Doesn't mean I wouldn't explore other countries though.
Nope, that is why I moved from there in 2019.
Where did you move
I love the United States of Mexico. I love the United States of America as well. I just hate the government of the latter.
I love the nation. Most of the current politicians? That is another matter.
I love my country. I hate politicians, though. They're all horrible.
Travel to a poor country and see how lucky you are to be born in the USA.
I am not American and ı dont like American politicy. Bir ı have not a problem about American peoples
She does not need to stop and recite the pledge of alliance if she does not want to. This is America for God's sake !!! I hope she wins!
No, I really don't
