Because there is still a stigma around it. Same reason tampon commercials use blue water. They also left out red, and nobody ever talks about blood clots during menstruation. Fucking thought I was dying first time that shit happened.
Do you think they should advertise the realistic side of period? Red and brown discharge? Real examples?
I think they should be free too, yes. Like how toilet paper should be able to talk about cleaning your butthole, and not just having a “shiny hiney” Kids need to know how their own bodies work. And with all the political bullshit around our fucked up education system sure can’t depend on public schools to teach them.
A question could start The Talk without forcing it on your kids.
