Trump had previously said that gifts received during his tenure in office belonged to him and not the government, contrary to the law. Multiple items are now missing.

Trump and members of his family failed to disclose more than 100 gifts worth nearly $300,000 that they received from foreign governments during his presidency, according to a report House Oversight and Accountability Committee Democrats released on Friday.

I have no clue what the law says about gifts to the President and Vice President but I remember them well for the Executive Branch (which, yes, I know the P and VP are part of but sometimes the policy is different).

Anyway, whether he did or didn't break the law, this was shitty staff work.

I am sure that every president has kept some souvenirs from their time on office. Just because it was Trump all of a sudden it is the crime of the century. I would bet that those gifts were not worth anywhere near 300K.
