I am interested in how Quebecois see this. I think Charles de Gaulle was mischievous on this issue.
A Canadian friend told me Canadians define themselves as not being Americans so presumably Quebecois can unite under this.
Another thing that interests me is that since Quebec was funded 1608 is Quebecois different to current Parisian French. Perhaps retaining anachronisms or perhaps more influenced by English?

Do some degree. It's more about the Quebecois wanting to preserve their language and culture. They are very different, and I read that many Quebecois don't even speak English. They sort of do their own thing, and many Canadians consider them rude. They've had independence referendums in the past, but have always voted to remain part of Canada.
I don’t think so Julie. “Hate” is a strong word/emotion.

It’s more like a civilized hatred like you would hate someone within your own family. I highly doubt that they would go to full out war with each other but they’re more likely to be celebrating Victoria Day at different houses.
Quebecers are Canadians so no as far as I know there is no hate. I have a lot of friends that live in Quebec.
Mostly yes. They always bitch and whine about being a separate country, and we wish they were
From what I remember its all about language. Because its a French Territory, Quebec think they are superior (This is what was told to me)
