The people who control all the media outlets including fox would turn this into a witch hunt, and would mass-market their recieved interpretation of the politics involved to the gullible sheep normies. It is unlikely that it would happen in the first place; if Republucans will only grow a pair when they have no ability to effect change historically, why would you expect them to upset the uniparty apple cart when they get power again? There is no demonstrable reason to suspect that they will suddenly wield their power to do the job their voters put them there for. Most people have already forgotten the potential of 'The Republican Revolution' in congress in the early 90's when the power to do so much was so firmly in the hands of the right, but it was squandered in the interests of being nice or maintaining the status quo or fear. Now that the worst fears of that era have long since come true, I still do not trust a wholly Republican congress to do anything but trip over itself and be the 'nice guy' who finishes last.
