One of the most recent evolutionary traits in humans is lactose tolerance when humans began making products from animal milk.

Evolution does not occur or fail to occur as a result of conscious choices. It happens primarily as a result of spontaneous mutations and how those mutations impact the individual's ability to survive long enough to reproduce.

The answer is that most people believe colorblindness is a delterous trait which should be slected against. However, men who are colorblind are better hunters that men with normal vision, and men who are colorblind also have better night vision. Whether those traits are adaptive depends upon the nature of the world in which we will live in the future. And no one knows how the future world will be dfferent.

So it's not that easy.
