Guys, I got into an argument with my homie. He said that women should be allowed to have pepper spray, without a firearm permit. He's wrong, right?

Sure, there are a lot of meth heads and crack heads on the New York subway, and if they're having a bad day, they will push you to your death in front of a subway car. But is that any reason to burn their eyes with pepper spray? C'mon, man. In New York you can't have pepper spray mailed to you. But you can have many other things mailed to you like machetes. Where my homie lives, you have to have a firearm permit to possess pepper spray.

I think this is a good thing, because killers have rights, too. This is why I'm a liberal and hate conservatives. Conservatives go through life with blinders on, and can't seem to see both sides of the argument. Obviously, no one wants to be pushed in front of a subway car, but that pepper spray stings like crazy!

I'm confused. Pepper spray isn't a firearm. Why would you need a firearm permit for it?

Also you can get dog repellant spray i think. It's pretty much the same but not "meant" for humans. But nothing stops you from using it on a human.
