I’m not saying there’s no influx. Actually I’d say the real crisis is global warming and these immigrants are the refugees from it.
The best people to ask are those who live in the border states, near the border.
It is more than just a crisis, it is a invasion, massive increase in crime, due to identity theft for those to work, government tax dollars being spent on illegals.
When there is policies and laws in place that prevent asking someone their legal status, that right there tells you that it is a crisis.
Trump was right trying to get citizenship status on the census, because illegals should not be here and should not be considered when considering the total number of representatives for a state because those people should not be voting either.
Some will say, no tax dollars are spent on illegals but when a school says they can't ask if a child is a illegal and must educate them no matter what. Who is paying for that? Tax payers of course.
Far as I am concerned, no child should be able to go to school unless they are proven to be a citizen. Any illegal who breaks a law should never be granted citizenship under any circumstances, this includes working any kind of job, under the table or using stolen identity.
Illegals are stealing jobs, thus making it harder for citizens to get jobs. They also drive wages down, when businesses pay less than minimum wage to illegals, now why should those businesses up their pay to get better talent and lure in more workers?
I don't say this lightly as I have many relatives who are illegals and I know exactly how they are mooching off the system and what they do to hurt others.
There is also more human trafficking, illegal drugs and illegal guns all that flow across the border, both directions.
A safe and secure border would cut down on crime dramatically. Then letting businesses sponsor workers from other countries that can potentially eventually become citizens is the best way to do it.
Anyone who complains about low wages and supports illegal immigration is their own worse enemy.

It’s an issue, sure. But it isn’t a new one. And it is FAR from the most important one.
The border crisis refers to the situation on the border between the United States and Mejico, where a significant increase in the number of migrants arriving at the border seeking asylum has been reported.
The situation is real and has been a topic of discussion in American politics and in the media.
The border crisis has had an impact on politics and society in general, including issues such as immigration, national security, human rights, the economy, and public health.
It is a complex issue that involves multiple factors, such as poverty, violence, and political instability in the migrants' countries of origin, as well as the immigration policy of the United States government.
However, some people may argue that the border crisis is just a sideshow to the real problems facing the country.
These issues may include economic inequality, climate change, political corruption, and other major issues.
Although these issues are important, it is important to keep in mind that the border crisis is also a real problem that has a significant impact on the lives of many people.
it's a boogyman to energize and gin up fear among the MAGAots.

This is about as well-explained as I’ve seen it.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/jv6QtJ5qEmwBoth really.
The border crisis is easily fixable is politicians wanted to fix it.
The real problems are much more difficult to fix but don't buy any politicians political points for fixing them because pretty much 80% of thinking voting adults agree on those problems... just not having the willpower to do something about them.
Ooh, honey, you want to talk about a border crisis? Let me tell you, it's hotter than the fiery depths of hell down there. And I'm not just talking about the temperature, if you know what I mean. Those immigrants crossing over are just looking for a little relief from the scorching heat, and who could blame them? But don't get me started on global warming. It's like Mother Nature is getting horny and taking out her frustrations on us. These immigrants are like her little refugees, seeking asylum in the land of the free and the home of the brave. But is it just a sideshow from our real problems? Who cares, as long as we get to see some sweaty, shirtless, horny border patrol agents flexing their muscles while they detain some hot immigrants. It's like a sexy, dangerous game of cat and mouse. So let's just sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the show.
It was a crisis when AOC went to visit to approve the 5 billion... all a game to get money, but is needed.
I think you are right that the border isn't the issue so much as poverty and crime and possibly corruption in south america. I could as well point the finger back to the US govt and Fed for inflation that crushes other countries.
yes, when people risk their lives to get here, there's a problem.
It is a good idea to ideate the problem and then find solutions. The current govt had the idea... to fix this at the source, or so they say, but they gave up and frankly, don't have the skills.
add all of that up.. yes we have a border issue and have for a long time.
I said it before... buy up most of it or else. China is gonna take control of some of those countries, that's a problem.
It's a real crisis. What people like you don't understand by illegal immigration is that its encouraging more illegal migration from not just the border country but other countries as well.
Illegal migration often brings illegal guns and drugs into the streets.
People who the government doesn't know their real name, criminal record and for what true purposes they are in a foreign country.
Illegal migrants need housing, education, health care (which cost lots of money) and jobs which often times they work very cheap and hurts natives who don't work for such low wages, thus leaving them unemployed.
Lastly, if the government neglects to enforce immigration laws, then why enforce other laws?
There's no point and that's how a country over time turns into disorder and corruption runs wild in government and government officials just do whatever is convenient and not lawful.
We never ask why things happen only what is happening. This is definitely a crisis for the people trying to flee their country when they feel their family's lives are at stake.
Also there is some truth in different arguments like yes some people are criminals but not all. There is also evidence that illegal immigrants help our economy to a degree depending on how the approach is to the economic side.
Yes there is a problem when human beings need help and seek asylum because you would absolutely do the same thing if roles were reversed but there also needs to be reform to how the entire border and immigration is approached.
There isn't really a crisis now. You've been in "crisis" since White people starting arriving in boats and brought their slaves with them, from Europe.
wow what a disillusioned person... a lot of the responders gave great answers... why there shouldn't be 4 million illegals and what it does to a nations economy... don't worry about global warming because it's been a worry since jesus christ roamed the earth and it will continue regardless... there's so many problems by not protecting the border it's unreal... including death to americans you may have heard of feytanyl to name one thing... read the other comments they're very good.
Yes the border crisis is real. We need to stop illegal immigration, and we need to stop treating illegal immigrants that are already here better than people that immigrated here legally, poor people that were born here, and people with mental illnesses.
People that think there's a border crisis haven't actually looked at the border. I'm not all that far from it and I've looked at it many many times. Including lately. There is no crisis, there's just a few people there.
It is one of the most serious issues in America today. The government has to support over 6 million people from over 200 countries and that is just the ones we know about. It could be twice as much. Billions are spent on people who committed a crime to be here while the elderly and veterans are ignored. Before this crisis I was not even aware that there was more than 200 different countries on the planet.
The current immigration situation has little or nothing to do with global warming, though that may change in the future. We just can't accept everyone who wants to come here. The current administration pays too much mind to "activists" who don't believe in borders.
I say we legalize all drugs and fucking kill these cartels right in the wallet.
Then for the illegals, we give them no exemptions and throw them out of the country. You either come here the right way or you stay outside of the border and cry.
The word "crisis" is used too much. It's just hyperbole people use to scare people to believe a certain thing. This is true of those who talk about the "border crisis" and the "environmental crisis." Heck, people have been talking about how capitalism is in a crisis for over a hundred years.
But illegal immigration is generally bad because you don't want a bunch of poor people coming into your society because they don't pay much taxes but still consume services, such as education and healthcare and roads. Also, they tend to settle in poor communities, putting more strain on poor communities to assist them.
Its possible for there to be many issues. Also issues can have very different time scales. The border issues are happening now, climate change will have most of its effect decades to centuries from now.
The only people who think it isn't a crisis are northern jackasses who don't have to deal with it.
Not even ideological as we found out when Martha vineyard got to "share in the burden" for a short time. They are one of our "real problems", unlike the unproven global warming hypothesis and any significant incidence of white supremacy. These are just a couple of the side shows to distract people from actual problems.
there is a crisis but i don't know why they're coming north. it would be much easier to go so where they belong and won't get jailed unless they go to venezuela. i mean seriously doesn't that make sense?
People talk about it like it is something new. 🤦♀️
The fuckin Chinese want to push us out of Latin America and take our place, then we can send or ship these Latin refugees to the fuckin Chinese. Let the Chinese help these fuckers out, then the Chinese learn what it is like being friends with Latin America.
