What do you think of biden claiming the Afghanistan fiasco was a success yet at the same time blaming Trump for the disaster?

Though he also stated the Afghan Government has a large, competent, and well trained security force. However, anyone can check out the SIGAR reports, and notice they started losing the war after the ISAF/US ended their combat mission in 2014.

The Afghan Government went from controlling well over 70% of the country (with the Taliban controlling less than 5%) in 2014, to nothing in 2021. That is quite a bit of loss, and most of it happened in the Summer of 2021, when much of the ANDSF immediately surrendered.

I hate the argument that the United States government didn't give them time to figure things out, or didn't supply them well enough. The USA paid for their entire military budget, and supplies, and the Afghan Government wasted it away. Over the years, Afghan politicians and commanders would lie about resources, sell them on the black market, or enrich themselves and their own tribes... etc etc.

They started losing the war once the USA was no longer in control of it.

Very sad, and the quick collapse in 2021 goes to show how very corrupt the Afghan government truly was. The disgusting thing is it is clear the the USA likely recognized this as well.. and Afghanistan was no longer anything but a political talking point, and nothing anyone took seriously.
