Any and all programs that are subsidized by the government are absolute dogshit.
All they are, is money laundering schemes.
With that, socialism is absolute horrible. Because that’s the core of socialism. Everyone paying into things that are “free” but the reality is the government just steal most of the collected funds and distribute it amongst themselves and their top donors. And very little goes to the actual programs the money is intended to fund…
Maybe it's like the Covid relief fund where 10% went to Americans.
And all that did was deflated the value of the dollar even more…

The entire healthcare system is taken over by the government and there will no longer be private health insurance. We all must be in the Medicare system. What could go wrong?

Well, all the illegals would get it too, making the ability to see your doctor lengthy task. Plus, it makes you wonder how many doctors would refuse to take Medicare patients anymore.

Good point. I can see Medicare offering to pay the doctors 50 cents on the dollar.
@OldGreyMare there is an old expression that has held up against to test of time. The expression is "You get what you pay for".
If you want free healthcare you can have it but it will probably will include long waiting times and you will not get any of the more exotic treatments.
The rest of us should not be forced into this.

@OldGreyMare With Obamacare the young people were forced to pay into it. Most young people never need medical care and did not have health insurance. They did not use the resources either. This is what kept the system afloat. They helped pay the bill for their older neighbors.
It’s when the democrat politicians keep their top tier healthcare and you get extended wait times and care provided by the lowest bidder.

Based on the picture, it seems to me like continuing to spend all our time, energy, and resources continuing to babysit and fail to integrate the 3rd world. We could be doing remarkable things if we stopped doing that.
