I wonder if this is where the democrats get the idea how to name their policies that are really the opposite of what the name says. Like "The Inflation Reduction Act" or "The Affordable Care Act"

China had like 5 different factions during ww2. Smaller factions got fucked by japan the fascist dictatorship allied with Hitler. From their china communist party got help from USSR and held the line of Japanese aggression so USSR invaded Berlin.

The Chinese communists party was the only faction pushing back the Japanese, hence liberating Chinese areas from Japanese control.

At this point, it's just the name of the Chinese military.

China was fairly primitive before that, mostly agrarian. There were even war lords.

The question is, would have China been better of under the Nationals or the Commies? I think the majority of the people supported communism, but a idyllic form with representative government, not the authoritarian kind that took over the Soviet Union or wound up ruling in China.

the concept may have merit... to share equally, but under human condition, don't know of an example where it worked well. On a small level it can be tested in a small community that works and shares equally. I believe those fail as well.

China would have split up if Mao didn’t unite China. I am not saying good or bad … based on what was happening in China before Mao took over.
He was able to succeed because China was so divided and so many wanted a piece of China.

Various levels of socialism work, but the U. S. always brands such governments as brutal dictatorships and works to undermine them either through economic sanctions or CIA orchestrated coups. Then claims that socialism doesn't work.
The IMF and World Bank undermine them, as well. The global capitalists hate socialism.

How would you grade Venezuela situation? I talked to a fella that used to live there in early 2000's and was wonderful place, sounded like California without all the high cost.
Then it got bad, dangerous, and left.
I don't know enough history to judge these systems, seems like one turns into the other over time. USA is some sort of crony capitalism turning socialist over time. The more they print and bail out the more people fall into streets of despair, the more socialism inspired.

Think about that: some guy looked across the sea at our grand temples to the Almighty Dollar, and decided to build the biggest, most glorious one on the planet.
