You can find scientists and studies that say just about anything. It means almost nothing, especially with social issues.

The first clue here is that "toxic" is not exactly a scientific word. Any type of study about it is likely to be subjective as hell and non-scientific.

Is it possible? Maybe. It may be related to the type of parents who pick certain names. Consider what kind of parents are more likely to pick a bold or trendy name vs a safe common name. I think this shows a difference in the parents themselves, which has an effect on the children.
