Some are stupid. But some aren't. And I suppose it depends partly on schooling and what they retain.

I am going through some issues with head trauma - I can somewhat remember how to multiply fractions and convert things - things I haven't used in 25-30 years; and I can sort of do it by memory - or with a quick refresher. They occasionally do the trivia stuff where they ask "random people" questions - Name three countries in South America (I could do four or five easily). Biggest Countries in North America... stuff like that. Pointing out and remembering where all fifty states are on a map... I probably would get more than most, but not all. Europe might be slightly different, though I'd do ok with the well known ones. And that's me, not being at 100 percent (maybe 70% or 80%?).

I know some educated people who make stupid choices.

American people are not stupid, they are just severely lacking in international knowledge which narrows down how open minded some of them can be, it's not entirely their fault, their education system is one and the fact that America is huge also doesn't help, wealth distribution means most American people would not get to visit another country.

so what you (as an outsider) see is the humans that are trained to be followers. They don’t see what tomorrow holds and they don’t see what’s ahead. They are being “trapped” by social media and their immediate surroundings.

The media itself is pretty stupid, that way they can influence people. The media, most of it is major left leaning, which is stupid... then they brain wash many left people to become even more stupid.

I'd say they are dumber than the dumb media shows, after all more than half the people voted for high inflation, high gas prices and low jobs.
