Singletary acquired the gun illegally. Adding more gun laws would have zero effect in stopping shootings like this one. It would only affect law abiding people because literally nothing will change for criminals. Guns will ALWAYS be easily available to criminals in the US. We can't keep enormous quantities of drugs from flowing across our southern border every day, so what makes you think it would be any different with guns. The only reason there aren't even more guns crossing our borders than there already are is because they can be legally purchased in the US. If you simpletons want to outlaw guns or make them harder to get, it will only create an even bigger black market for weapons. Uh, yeah no. First off, I don't care about kids, and I don't care how many get shot.

Secondly, I should not be penalized and have my life get harder, nor should others, because some degenerates committed crimes.

Thirdly, we already do have regulations on guns which vary from state to state. From magazine capacity, to the fact of needing a federal license for a machine gun to registering a suppressor. It does not matter what you do, nothing will really change. Even if you magically removed all firearms and magically stopped all from entering, even magically stopped folks from making them out of pipes like mob used to do, people will still be victims of mass casualty events. Hell prime example was years ago in Japan, dude drove his car into a busy intersection and stabbed several people to death. Personally I'd rather get shot than stabbed or beaten to death.
