There are female businesses and female spaces only males are not even permitted. However there are no male businesses or spaces only that forbid females. Do you think that is in any way fair? Yes or no and how do you see that as fair?

+1 yWell, I mean, my dad belongs to a men’s club, no women allowed except for certain special events where you can bring your wife or a date.
I think there’s a difference in dynamic where men can pose a potential physical threat to women, whereas most women don’t really pose a genuine physical threat to most men, it’s rooted in that. Or even non-physical threats, let’s just say the opposite sex “making someone uncomfortable”, whether real or imagined or somewhere in between, that’s just generally more likely to be felt by a woman than it would be by a man. There are unequal power dynamics in the world, so sometimes things will appear to favor one demographic over another, but it’s really just based on actual need. Take a women’s gym for example…. when I hit the squat rack, there aren’t a bunch of chicks ogling me with varying degrees of discretion, I’m never made to feel uncomfortable. Women start squatting and every dude in the place is trying watch out of the corner of their eye, or via a mirror reflection, or some will just outright stare, lmao. It’s just different, so the needs for isolated spaces is different.

+1 yDefinitely not, things are made for a purpose, this is not a situation like there are 5 five year old girls and 5 five year old boys and u give each girl an Italian pastry and you give each guy a slice of stale bread. Now that would be unfair and more so because they are children. But in the above case , some places are made for women because there is a situation of need in the female perspective that may not be there in the male situation. An example guys do not need any privacy in a hair cutting situation , so u can have unisex hair cutting joints. However, you need a separate area for women having bikini waxes. I mean no man save an absolute pervert would even like to be there. No the other hand , men would not like a men’s restroom where women were allowed. We piss in the open, in urinals and I would not like to have the thought that a woman may burst in and catch a glance at my sleeping tool. Obviously, I would like to piss in privacy. I mean just like of an elderly man who desperately needed to adjust his wig and there were women around. So it is a needs based situation and not one of gender equity.

Do you think women won't use the men's room when it's convenient for them? Believe it I have seen it happen women not willing to wait for the women's room going into the men's room instead. But had the roles been reversed and the men had entered the women's room in that case those men would have been taken to jail.
- +1 y
yes u are right in that one
- +1 y
That's not even true. I was at a concert where the crowd was predominantly male, the men's line was quite long so some guys came into the women's restroom. Nobody cared. In cases where women were the predominant ones they used the men's bathroom yes but most cases they let the men jump ahead (i. e Taylor Swift concert)
What’s the problem with women only businesses and spaces? I do not believe women are equal to men, and most women don’t, but it’s fair to demand equal treatment in areas that men and women CAN BE equal, like a female vs. male lawyer who are on the same level of intelligence in the subject.
As for female only businesses and spaces, the only real female only things I’ve seen were either:
A.) Made for the comfortability of women from being harassed by men
B.) Made BY a man to exploit the woman
C.) Something only a WOMAN could obviously do
Women only spaces at gyms make women feel comfortable because men are absolute vultures at the gym. Getting a job at Hooters, that only employs women (from my knowledge) is an audience made for the male gaze. They don’t hire men because no man comes to see another man dressed in orange spandex tights walking around.
The need for equal spaces for men would work if men didn’t already fully occupy most of the spaces. My gym is 90% men. Most women have experienced sexual assault in their life by a man. When that stops, then maybe the need will stop.

The QA inspired me to ask this question Can we bring back male only fitness gyms? ↗
Now notice how one of the female respondents likened male only fitness gyms to “gender apartheid”. Here name was siri137 or something. Another woman upvoted her opinion as well.
Would not any man not be (rightfully) scoffed at, laughed at and ridiculed for calling female only gyms “gender apartheid”. But why is it she gets away with that labels like that so she can poison the well?
Now personally I could absolutely care less if there are female only facilities, organizations, etc. I have female relatives and I want them to be wherever they feel safe and comfortable. I do however have a different opinion about “gender equity” bullshit in corporate America and our government. That’s another debate though.
But notice how feminists automatically and hypocritically call anything “male only” sexist, patriarchal and “unfair”. The vast majority of men don’t care about “female only” spaces unless it’s being done to their direct detriment. But even when that happens we always have little or no recourse to fight back given how our modern culture works.
- +1 y
@RangerBlue22 No I don’t notice how feminists anything, because I am not one. And I don’t know why you would either when it has 0 effect on your life.
- +1 y
@RangerBlue22 There ARE male only fitness gyms. USE GOOGLE and LOOK. I just did it myself and 30 MALE ONLY gyms are in the local area.
Seriously WHY do American men specialize in WHINING when the things they are looking for exist? I am far from a feminist but having lived in a number of other countries I seriously wonder if American "men" can be called men or if it's safer to call them toddlers.
- +1 y
@SakuraBlossoms87 hey you know I’m not an unreasonable guy when I get the facts laid out in front of me. No need to call me a “toddler”.
I took your advice and looked for a male fitness gym in my state. None exist. Now there are a few obscure ones in NJ. But that’s like 1500 miles from where I live. - +1 y
@RangerBlue22 Oh & what state do you live in because I highly doubt the accuracy of your claims what when I'm in the middle of shit nowhere & yet they exist.
- +1 y
@RangerBlue22 There's at a minimum 10 male only gyms in Philly, there's 30 male only gyms in NYC, and there's some even in Baltimore which is a bit more backwards than the other cities around.
- +1 y
@RangerBlue22 You know, the same can be argued as to why some titles, have “man” in it. Mailman, policeman, fisherman etc. because these are male dominated areas. Even to this day these terms are still used.
As I said before, I do not see an issue in female only gyms, as there is a specific reason why they exist. Women might want to feel comfortable without the eyes of men, and sexual assault is a huge issue in society. Arguing this point is similar to arguing why there is a “special Olympics” for people with disabilities. Same point that there is a safe space made for the comfortability and convenience of an ongoing concern in society. Do you argue that these shouldn’t exist?
You are going off of the opinion of a random group of women on a random site and feeling as if everyone feels that way, when in reality, most extremists on this site, whether at either end, specifically use this site to air grievances.
+1 y@CB-Raido-Time What's the issue?
Female only places were predominantly designed to PROTECT women not discriminate whereas male only places are predominantly designed to DISCRIMINATE.
And
Male only clubs & male only gyms exist. There are male only places such as rehab centers, homeless shelters, half-way houses, jails, etc. The handful of male organizations allowing "women" are only allowing "women" who were originally men.
Maybe you should broaden your horizons & educate yourself? Hmmm.
As for things like Scouts that Ranger mentioned Boy Scouts & girls have been interwoven for YEARS in different ways than direct involvement. So the "change" is hardly extreme - it is extreme if someone has had their head up their ass all their life.

On the flip side, I don't believe that either should be able to get state or federal financing to run their business, especially SBA unless the scope of their business is a women's shelter or a men's homeless shelter, along those lines.
Those are the only three "male spaces" I can think of, locker room, strip clubs, and homeless shelters. It is very rare to see women as customers in strip clubs who do not work there. Likewise even in strip clubs where men strip, the customers are men, at least the ones who are spending money.

+1 yWhenever there are “male only” spaces then feminists make it their life mission to invade. Like why is that Boy Scouts now admit girls when the Girl Scouts always existed?
Anyway overall I really don’t care. However there is one place where I wouldn’t mind there being male only facilities: fitness gyms.
I personally go to the gym for one reason and one reason only: to exercise and get a job done. In the past maybe once in a blue moon I might come across a friendly girl and just say hello. But I sure as hell don’t go to gyms just for that nor do I got out of my way IN the gym for it. I don’t waste my time staring either. I’m focused at the task at hand: a hard workout.
But all the recent (and often disgusting) IG and TikTok videos of women secretly filming random me and calling them “creeps” in gyms infuriated me.
These men were being recorded without their consent and had their identities broadcasted to entire the world. Some of the disgusting women who did this did (rightfully) got harsh backlash. But still these guys were getting their faces and likeness plastered everywhere.
There needs to be male only gyms so guys can put the hard work in, not get distracted and not be paranoid. There is nothing “gay” about that either. Many bodybuilding gyms were male only prior to the 70s and 80s.

Boy Scouts & girls have been interwoven for YEARS in different ways than direct involvement. It is only recently that the Scouts let girls in and that was because they were WASTING resources in keeping girls separate in the FAILING Girl Scouts groups and by WASTING resources were COSTING the children the whole Scouts experience. Only selfish uneducated people would willingly let their children suffer so that they feel special about themselves. - +1 y
That sounds terrible.
- +1 y
@SakuraBlossoms87 I was involved with the Boy Scouts when I was a kid and I never remember being the Girl Scouts doing anything with us.
It seems I really got under your skin with my opinions on this one for some reason. We have had productive conversations on other threads. Not sure why this one got you all upset. All in all I am not unreasonable.
However there is one recent societal development that got really under MY skin: women video recording men at gyms and slandering them without their consent. These women did get (rightfully) blasted for that. But still I haven’t heard of any of these men successfully suing these women for character assassination (which is exactly what they are guilty of).
So yes I don’t think gender segregated gyms aren’t a bad idea all considered. Yes they do exist but nothing at all like a major Bally’s, 24 hour fitness, LA fitness chain. - +1 y
@RangerBlue22 - Girl Scouts IS the female version of Boy Scouts & is founded by the Boy Scouts organization. In fact it is founded by the SAME man - Robert Baden-Powell - who created the Boy Scouts one or two years later.
Did you fail Scouts by any chance? Because there would be times when Boy & Girl Scouts held events together, etc.
As for women going into gyms & recording men. That is immoral of course. But do you think men are innocent? Hmm. There are many men in gyms who take photos & videos of women without consent. Only they don't share these on instagram to be called out on. They keep these pictures & videos private to jerk off to like the perverts they are.

I went to a men's event once and was protested by several females. I told them, I want invitations to their women's cookie and tea parties. At that event, men spoke highly of women and their roles. In other settings like church, ment's group and men's counseling was highly promoted and accepted by women... they understand the value to men gaining support as it benefits their lives as well.

+1 yIn a world in 2023, where women preach all the time about being equal to men, I see this as a special privilege that shouldn't exist. Women are already equal to men, the Feminist movement already accomplished all its goals. It's reached the point where women want special privileges, and they disguise them as rights.
I can name at least 5 to 10 privileges women have in the Western world off the top of my head without using Google.
Conclusion: this isn't fair or equal, considering the sociopolitical climate where women cry about fairness and equality all the time. It just makes women look more hypocritical, than anything.31 Reply- +1 y

1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think it is important to have women-only clubs, gyms, and other spaces. Businesses, if they are so motivated. However, I am completely against the double standard that seeks to eliminate male-only spaces (like formerly the boy scouts, schools, clubs, etc.). The patently obvious violation of the right to free assembly aside, with many boys growing up in households without fathers present these would serve a valuable function in providing role models for masculinity and social opportunities for men in general, but there are few such places now due to feminist activism.

This is such a silly response as the men who benefited from male only spaces are all dead or on their way. None of the men alive today were either responsible for, or benefit from many of the unfair treatment women endured. In fact, neither did you. So what exactly is your point here? The fact of the matter is that feminism set out to create equality, and today we see that equality in the eyes of the typical modern day feminist, isn't about equality anymore, clearly.
I think it's fine. You should be allowed womens only businesses/spaces, same for men, same if someone wants only Whites/Blacks/Asians, only straight people only gay people, it should all be allowed. Businesses don't thrive on their demographic, they thrive on their services and products and the public decides the success by whether they choose to use the service or buy the product. Either people will disagree with the hiring practice or won't be happy so won't use the service and the business will fail and cease to exist unless they try a new angle or people will be fine with it and the business will continue to provide service and jobs

Opinion Owner+1 y@CB-Raido-Time The statistics of violence, rape, domestic abuse, murder, etc against women and teen girls says the absolute opposite than the bs you just uttered. Women are not a threat to men, never have been. If that was the case, women would have able to protect ourselves against men like you and would have been able to do so for centuries. But I’m pretty sure history proves the opposite, considering at one point women were treated as compete property to men.
You should enroll in some sort of hist 101 class before spreading bs- +1 y
No you are absolutely wrong easily provable the numbers aren't lying. And that's not to mention the needles that women just stuck in the arms of BILLIONS now beginning to appear in the VAERS database.
Opinion Owner+1 y@CB-Raido-Time Also, just to be clear. Any man who’s offended by simple facts are apart of the problem here. You literally outed your self by getting defensive. A real man would see he isn’t as I described because he knows himself and proves himself throughout his life by respecting women who who respects him and our basic human rights, not raping, murdering or abusing women, he knows he doesn’t do these things so he wouldn’t get offended because he knows none of this applies to him. Very very telling of you considering I did not @ you or any man in my initial comment.

That’s your justification for women being treated as slaves for centuries. Wow dude You are SICK. I feel sorry for any woman in your life even your mother, the woman who gave you life

I don't need your validation to tell me what a real man is. A real man knows the truth and don't hide it regardless if it hurts someone feelies or not that's what a real man is. And your ducking and dodging attempting to go around the truth is exposing you for who you are you and your feminist agenda.
And for the record never in my entire life have I ever raped or abused a woman, never in my life have I ever robbed anyone nor have I ever murdered anyone either. Most men wouldn't do those things only the men you women pick do those types of things. I don't rape I don't rob and I obviously hate abortion I can not stand child murderers or murderers period.

That’s being a psycho who doesn’t deserve to live. You may claim to not be these things but being complicit, makes you just as guilty as the men who does these things.
Also, who said i need to validate you or even want to? Good men are easy to detect. I would just know who they are through their actions and things they say, if not to me, than others- +1 y

It's nothing new it's been going on for years it's only now being noticed as mainstream. I recall three businesses that I applied for looking for work when I was on hard times. Two of them only hired women and the 3rd one would only hire women or a minority but I haven't gotten to work question yet.
Opinion Owner+1 ySee that’s discrimination in my opinion and this is why men should wake up the F up and stand up. That’s the problem with males we can’t suppress things and not support each other. That whole feminism movement was based on a lie of women helping other women. Women are probably more cut throat than men in my opinion.

+1 yYes male space would be grand. There used to be male only clubs until the women's movement started. Women started infiltrate the men's clubs.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThis is fascinating considering the Civil Right Act would classify this as a form of discrimination based on gender. Handicapped spaces are allowed based on the ADA since it is required to allow sufficient access to people with disabilities. This, however, is outright discrimination

+1 yThere is no need for Male spaces.. because you all already took over the world..

"king of the jungle baby. And don't you forget it" 😂 but some would say that behind every powerful man there is a woman. Where would this world be without you pretty little psychos.. 😝
- +1 y
This is untrue.
First off, most men are not world leaders, or anything to that effect. Believe me, if most of the men on the planet could go to Bilderberg then the world would be a much different place.
The world don’t treat us to kindly either. - +1 y
Men have already taken over the world? Humm that's ironic because every time I look up I see women out in the streets somewhere marching chanting to keep their right to murder children not men. Every time I turn around it's women that are featured in just about everything one can put their hand on. The only time I see men featured in anything it when men are being put down for any and everything. Is that what you mean by men have taken over the world men as the punchline?
- +1 y
@cb-raido-timeYes maybe now days bro but who has been murdering women and children for thousands of years.. MEN! Who controls the world MEN! So get over yourself.. also who are impregnating these dumbass women you complain about aborting fetuses? Again it it dumbass males fucking them and putting their seed inside these skanks..
Quit your moaning grow some balls and change the world... or sit back and shut the fuck up like the little pus you are. - +1 y
That last part. who is this woman? Holy shit what a firecracker. 😂
Coming soon to a seminar near you.. Anemonone punches guys in the balls with her words as she tells them not to be little pussies. I'll be the promotor. People pay for inspiration all the time. Just come out and say don't be pussies drop the mike and leave. 😂
- +1 y
No you got your facts twisted Ms deceived. It's you women that have murdered more men women and children in the history of mankind, not men almost 70 million murdered since the beginning of roe v wade in 1973 And that's not to mention what's taking place currently aka the VAERS data base and that's less than 1% reported.
They could not have done it without you women's.

It's not us men that have taken over the world, it's you.
- +1 y
@crossdressingrihno It's good to see somebody else is awake.
- +1 y
@CB-Raido-Time this is so pointless. 😂 Don't you have something better to do with your time.. like trying to take over the world or something.. you feel so threatened about something that in the end absolutely doesn't matter. What are you trying to accomplish? If you have friends, sit back relax and enjoy the fine things in life. Maybe ranting is your hobby? https://m.youtube.com/shorts/WO8LWukxlU0

Do you really want all these unwanted children to be born? Do you know what would happen to the world? The world is going down hill fast but imagine if all these children growing up with mothers who don't want them and fathers who abandon them and don't pay... who do you think will be paying for these kids? Us, our taxes would go up to pay for these useless bitches and their bastards on welfare.. then because they don't actually want them they will not raise them properly and they will be the criminals robbing from your house.. do you actually consider the consequences? Its best the children die and go to heaven..
Plus who is still murdering many people in the east? Actually born and thinking, people... Men and your stupid wars and greed.. Millions are being killed and no one bats an eyelash at that shit so stop whining over abortions and think about the bigger picture... You don't like something actually do something about it... or like I said shut the fuck up... Again you are whining but missing the point why these spaces are needed or even exist! And why abortions should stay in place... do I think sluts who make stupid decisions should be able to get abortions? No, but do I want to end up paying for her dumbass kid absolutely not, so I choose to let it ride... - +1 y
@Anemone978 I never have and I never will consider money over life no money is worth someone else's life if they are living children then yes I absolutely want them to live to be born welfare or not there aren't enough children in this world already as far as I am concerned. The answer to welfare is to provide jobs so everyone can support themselves. And the only way that could happen is to kick those responsible for deporting all the jobs abroad and invading us with foreigners out.
Furthermore no living human being deserves to be killed born or unborn everyone should have a right to their life. Yes some of the dads abandon their children and there are several reasons given one being those dad's get forced to pay child support while being forced into visitors of their children not dad's they wanted to be thank divorce women and society and the system for that one. And another reason is women choosing to have children with men that didn't want children.
And there are men like myself I wanted children all my life they were my dream I never cared if they were my biological children or not I dreamed of having children even when I was a child myself. And as irony would have it I'm not a woman, not gay, I'm straight and single, not I'm too old, every curb known was thrown my way to prevent that from happening. There simply aren't enough children in this world for me regardless. - +1 y
@CB-Raido-Time How did you grow up? Like were you from a middle class family? I was born to a poor family so I know the issues it causes.. I personally would have rather been aborted..
Do you know who I grew up along side? Other poor kids.. most are criminals now... or drug addicts 2 were even murders... Just because you love kids and would want some doesn't mean... millions of others will end up having a good or worth while life.. This is why when people don't know both sides, they try to implement stupid laws and rules on shit they have no idea what it will cause or do to the rest of the people... You are just selfish and thinking about your own wants and needs not seeing the bigger picture of how it impacts everyone.

And there it is. The stupid retort. Anyway, guaranteed I have been more places than you unless you can top 7 continents. Only Euro trash have that nonsense about travel because everything is so close they think they are worldly, lol. I have been to Europe about 70 times not to mention other continents. Pshhh.

OK name one single male only business that doesn't allow women. I'll be waiting.

@KrakenAttackin Aw, did I upset your narrow-minded, misogynistic worldview by asking an impertinent (but highly relevant) question, a question for which you don't have a ready-made, cliched answer? Did I trigger you?
Go crawl back into the Reich-wing safe-space you no doubt emerged from, and have a good cry and suck your thumb (or someone's dick if you're into that sort of thing, I don't care).

I want a world where y'all on the female side of the aisle didn't get so many privileges, and I wish y'all would quit shitting on men all the time.

I dont shit on men at all. Men can do what they like and I do agree men in western countries should have spaces for themselves, notice I said western as in some countries women aren't even allowed out themselves...
+1 yDefinitely not fair... Those female only spaces are not 2x wide as they should be. Where have the standards gone, that is not up to w. a. m. e. n regulations.

What about female attackers? There's such things as lesbians. Lesbians could look at another woman and make her uncomfortable. Lesbians could rape another woman.
