Those kind of ratings are subjective as hell, over simplified, and usually highly biased. They mean almost nothing.

The same goes for best places to live, happiest people, best education, best job market, etc.

I am surprised it is only 129, especially since I found out that there is more than 220 countries because that is how many countries the border patrol had found illegal aliens coming from since Biden has been president.

When America goes down in a global rankings index, it means America is doing something right because all of these indices and organizations are run by Marxist globalists in academia. When the media whine about America, I see it as a positive. We still have a 1st Amendment and a 2nd Amendment , something other countries cannot say. Most other countries don't have freedom of speech, not even UK or Canada. Other countries don't have the right to keep and bear arms, America does.

As a non-American I fail to understand why some of you Americans think it makes you safer when everyone owns a gun. A lot of those people who commit crimes and goes on a mass shooting rampage wouldn’t care if they die in the process or if the police shot them dead.

It's because America is a big country and most places are far away from anybody. People need to be able to protect themselves. Also, criminals don't respect the law. If law abiding people didn't have guns, the only ones that would have them would be criminals and the government. Americans also aren't collective, we are independent, believe in personal freedoms and don't want to give up personal freedoms for a "common good". The government can easily take over a population that doesn't have the ability to fight back against them with guns. An unarmed population are subject to an authoritarian government like Canada and Australia during COVID.

I believe Australia and Canada are very good countries and definitely beats a lot of other countries in level of crime rates, safety, health and education etc

If a person doesn’t care about dying I don’t see how owning guns is going to reduce crimes rates. They will commit a crime in the hope the police will shoot them dead.

Australia actually had COVID internment camps.
