Whats the deal with Hunter Biden being charged?

Yes, but that's part of what makes that story worse than it otherwise could be.

For starters, there's an abundance of hard evidence of Hunter's financial crimes. It's easy open-and-shut stuff, but federal investigators from one agency have now stated under oath that they suppressed the information in order to help Joe win his election, and now a whistleblower agent from the IRS claims that the investigation into Hunter is being swept under the rug by order of corrupt officials. Keep in mind that these sorts of crimes are relatively common in politics and rarely involve jail time unless you're an enemy of the establishment political class, and instead just get punished by a fine. Most don't even know let alone remember that the Clintons had to pay fines for financial crimes in the 2016 election. So in typical US political fashion, this story is more significant because of the efforts to cover it up than the fact it happened.

That's where it gets significantly worse: Joe Biden has said repeatedly that he had no knowledge of Hunter's dealings, which given the fact they have a shared bank account that received money from those deals implicates that either he's lying, or so mentally gone that he just doesn't remember. You can judge for yourself which scenario you think is worse. Now whether or not Joe would actually be legally punishable for his role in this is pretty dubious, because most of the hard evidence references events that happened between Joe's time as vice president and president, so he wouldn't have been holding office at the time. For those solid cases, he'd be an accessory or a benefactor unless there's more evidence behind closed doors being sat on unless/until proceedings happen.

We did make fun of donald offspring during his presidency but they are missing the point. The only ones we made fun of were officially white house advisors. Getting paid by tax payers so easy fair game.

Everything hunter has been doing started with joe Biden being a private citizen, former vice president, up and coming president nomination. Nepotism is a thing and not illegal and ethically should be a thing but so far hasn't. Hunter gets a cushy job on another government foreign committee for his name sake alone. Thats on foreign committee.

Joe Biden then takes his oath of office for the American people. Great powers come great responsibly. At this point any hidden communication with father joe Biden and son hunter Biden would be illegal. But here's the thing it dosen't exist. Hunter is picking his nose, dick picking and smoking crack and joe Biden is doing his duty as president.

Hunter could definitely be pardoned by Joe, but Democrats generally do not get prosecuted by their fellow Democrats in the DOJ, which usually reserves its prosecutions for political opponents.
