It was a real pandemic. Not the great human and societal experiment that took place between 2020-2022.
Spainish flu showed the effects of global transport and epidemics and how fast they can be spread. If covid 19 was a serious epidemic then the first cases in China and elsewhere should have resulted in the US boarder being closed and foreign and domestic air travel stopped that day.
I'm afraid not. The Spainish flu killed millions of very fit healthy people. Covid killed 5 million globally of whom the majority were obese, overweight, elderly or had diabetes.
Fatter is an understatement.
Well I don't see any red white and blue burkas
Wrong question. I apologise
It would seem only fair, at least if people want to hold China to account for the latest one.
Wasn't there something about a recent swine flu epidemic being blamed on Mexico, but it originated in the US, too?
Shit happens. Not warning people about it is a choice.
Exactly. They could have closed their borders unilaterally, but it's a chicken and egg situation, isn't it? No country is willing to "over" react to a new illness, so they don't react at all until it's already become widespread in the country. These days, as well, journey times are measured in hours, not days, so there's no chance to detect a sick passenger before they arrive in a new country and quarantine the ship.
I found this really cool map showing travel times from London in 1914:
www.dailymail.co.uk/.../...ravel-abroad-1900s.html
Who exactly is supposed to be held to account? Everybody from that era is either dead or would have been a baby during that time. I guess you can chalk it up as another example of how evil the media industry, the military-industrial complex, and the political elites are.

If America was responsible for the 1918 pandemic, then Americans should pay for it
I actually haven’t smoke much weed over the last week.
Countries should pay for their actions, especially their democracies. If you have a monarchy you blame the monarchy if you have a democracy the people are responsible for the good and bad.
If it can be proven that the United States unleashed a virus from there shores the American people need to compensate the rest of the world. Same with China in the case of Covid 19 China isn’t a democracy so we must blame the leaders of the CCP in which case we need to destroy the CCP
Technically those were US labs in Wuhan too...
Nobody alive was involved in that but nice try. That's like reparations for slavery, it's stupid because everyone involved is dead!
Little was known about viruses so how the hell can that be said.
Reparations? It's a bit late now. Notice how they tried to blame the Spanish. lol
Wishful thinking.
