Nicholas Reardon (the cop) shot Ma'Khia Bryant, who was seconds away from lunging a large-bladed knife into the chest of another woman. The cop had a half second to make a decision, and he did.
Half of the country (like the morons on The View,) called the cop a murderer, the other half said he was a hero. The experts said that a knife that size to the heart would be worse than a bullet. Someone was going to die. The cop had to decide who would die.
Of course the cop was charged with murder, but the grand jury cut him a break. Should the cop have called a social worker with a really fast car?
If it were me, I would let the woman with the knife kill the other woman. I would be fired, but at least not facing life in prison for doing the right thing.
