He didn’t get off lightly. Americans routinely avoid jail time by cooperating with the IRS and paying off their back taxes. The federal government would rather have your money than put you in jail. Jail doesn’t encourage anyone to pay up. Thousands of people lie on the forms to purchase a gun every year and almost none of them are ever prosecuted. It’s rarely enforced on ordinary Americans, so it’s not surprising Hunter got the same discretion. In fact, I’d say that if he was an ordinary citizen without all the public scrutiny on him, he would have gotten even less than the 2 year’s probation.

Yes he did drugs but you have to catch him with the actual drugs to charge him with possession. Knowing that he used in the past isn’t enough. As for the foreign money, didn’t the Republican led House investigation into the Biden’s foreign business dealings find no evidence of wrongdoing just last month? What evidence would you even base a charge on?

No, the Republican house DID NOT find no wrong doing. They have evidence but nothing concrete. They also have investigators coming foward with grievances about how the investigation (s) are being handled by the DOJ. Christ, Hunters laptop, you know, the one loaded with Russian misinformation, has yet to be part of any investigation. I really don't care about Hunter but it would be nice if the FBI, as well as other federal agencies would at least pretend to care about Joe Biden's possible connection to foreign money. Trump couldn't take a shit without it being somehow connected to Russia.

@Slingblade1126 Yet the committee’s report makes no reference to illegality regarding any of Hunter’s foreign wire transfers, nor does it link any money going to Joe Biden or any evidence that any policy decisions were affected. Looks like a big nothing burger so far. Come back and see us when you have something real. Conspiracy theories won’t cut it. Hell, even news agencies were able to get their hands on copies of the e-mails from the laptop. Where’s the smoking gun? We’re all still waiting for that along with evidence of widespread voter fraud, which never seems to materialize either.

Jesus Christ! Brain dead. I just got done saying there isn't concrete evidence regarding uncle Joe. But to say there isn't any evidence brought forward by the house investigation is a lie. They are continuing it or do you think it's done? Either way, I really don't care. Like I said, the federal agencies should at least pretend to investigate. Uncle Joe is irrelevant to this country. He comes out once a week, squints, coughs and slurs his way through an incoherent speech, then has to get shown off stage. He could literally disappear tomorrow and no one would notice.

Trumps DOJ never went after Stone for tax evasion. Stone was paying what he owed, per IRS agreement, until Mueller ordered a raid. It was a "civil" suit filed by the IRS under Biden's administration.
