I say sell off our old stockpiles of chemical weapons we could never dispose of. Just VX gas, there are over 277 tons we need to dispose of, and as you can imagine neutralizing a nerve agent takes a lot of money and effort. Just use it in another arms race, as they'd have to buy the PPE from us too.
I'm sure there's a couple hundred tons of Dioxins and other crap in Kentucky too. There's few other options to curb a massive marine landing. Just trash the beaches so much that no one ever goes on them again.

Honor the defense pact and declare war on the rebels- strictly speaking, the Chinese already ARE on Taiwan; that's the only place their government still holds. (This does mean that Beijing's government is arguably the only Communist government in the world that's justified in calling itself "revolutionary" decades after the revolution has officially ended- or it WOULD, if they were actually Communist).
Above and beyond the issues of national integrity, losing Taiwan would mean losing a HUGE source of microchips to an openly hostile power. Taiwan isn't like Ukraine; we have a standing alliance with them that we need to maintain if we're to be taken at all seriously.
When China invades? What makes you so certain they will?

Have a line of hunter-killer submarines in the Taiwan Strait and sink every ship transporting troops or equipment. We already have a carrier group nearby for air-to ship attack with Super Hornets and F-35's. Japan, Vietnam, Philippines and South Korea are also in the neighborhood. It will be a bad, messy day and the ChiComs won't do it, not because of that schmuck Biden but because of of those really nervous Asians.
Given that official US policy is that Taiwan is part of the Peoples Republic of China (Blinken reiterated this last week), we should stay out of the internal affairs of China. As for microchips, we should commit to a decade-long process of fostering domestic industry and mining.
The alternative would risk a nuclear exchange, and I don’t think anyone would win in that scenario.
Bring semiconductor workers to America and destroy the semiconductor fabrication plants in Taiwan. Taiwan is just a rock. They don't have any real natural resources. It's the people that are valuable. Sending the people to die in a war against China just ruins the country and sets the world back technologically creating a mini dark age. Obviously those people have a cultural tie to their rock in the sea, so if they were to for example destroy the Three Gorges Dam, I wouldn't hold it against them...
Defense perimeter if the US values Taiwan as an ally. China's navy isn't nearly as strong as the US. The diplomatic stance of the US is a purely self-defense one: protecting an ally with a diplomatic tone of defense to both China and the rest of the world while intercepting China's inferior navy.
nothing, why would they do anything, im sure china gonna end up attacking the US as well
US will provoke Taiwan to go war with China n then US will sell weapons to Taiwan...
War's are designed for sell weapons.u. s. already recognised taiwan is p. r. c. offer the govermnet asylum in exile.
Why would they invade a territory that's allegedly already there's?
