Why do I have to accept trans people if they dont even accept themselves?

There seems to be some confusion. If they didn't accept themselves before why do I have to lie to them about lying to themselves now?

You don’t have to necessarily accept them but you have to understand that they are apart of this world. And you can’t make them go away simply because you don’t like them. My advice is to just steer clear of them it’s easier to ignore them then to try and figure out what made them mutilate there body.

You don’t have to accept their choices. But, like anyone else, maybe you can accept them as fellow human beings who are just different from you? I don’t really think it’s a “pick a side” situation, right?

The estimated 40% that killed themselves didn't seem particularly comfortable. Believe it or not I actually wanted an answer because I don't understand the whole phenomenon and I'm going to be in public service for a very long time. So I was hoping that somebody here would be willing to talk which thankfully you are.

I can try. I’m not here to negate anyones opinion. Trans people have a hard situation. But it boils down to feeling a disconnect between their body, and their mind. If that makes sense?

From how it is described (colostomy bags, sterilization, the dysphoria still keeps coming back, and the constant thoughts and reminders of living a lie) by older teens or young adults who publicly detransition, the dubious benefits of feeling more comfortable in physical pain and discomfort and needing to be on expensive medications for life seems like a bad deal. It looks to an outsider to be a bad deal all around. So why is it such a big political deal and why are children allowed this particular surgery without parental consent, but not, say, liposuction or tatoos? Most of the issue I take is letting kids who don't have the life experience to make almost any important decisions and who cannot possibly appreciate the consequences decide to put the taxpayers on the hook for this and schools can do it without parental consent. A majority of kids who are trans now would have become gay if allowed to go through puberty and figure it out on their own. I don't see the advantages to them their families or the gay community at large here, but I do see hospitals and pharmaceutical companies profiteering off of teenage angst for the rest of the person's life and doing so in a way that cuts their parents out of the process except to send them the bills and make them responsible for the after-care.

Sadly, those are true cases. That’s why I think it is extremely important to make sure that anyone going through it takes his/her time to make absolutely certain that it is what they need as far as living their life. Once it’s done, it’s not like you can change your mind.

What? Are u talking about like, those repressed transphobes people who are in denial about being trans themselves? Cuz even if it's really fucking obvious to anyone else, u still shouldn't try to force anyone how they should live. U gotta leave them to come to that decision on their own. It's their choice how much pain they wanna live in.

But absolutely u don't have to respect what they say if what they say is that people shouldn't have basic human right—even if they are themselves one of the people they are attacking. Cuz fuck their pain, that doesn't mean everyone else should be forced to live in pain either.

They do accept themselves. That's why they go through such a long, difficult and painful process to be who they are.

If they feel the need to make life changing alteration then they do not accept themselves.

Who they are mentally and who they are physically are 2 different things, and thus they need to coordinate/equate between the 2. ( if you're addressing surgeries)
