There was a time when guys who thought they were Napoleon or Jesus Christ, and women who thought they were Joan of Arc or Cleopatra were kept in nut houses.
I think it's even crazier for a man to think he is a woman and for a woman to think she is a man. When will it be reasonable for people to be taken seriously when they think they are a different species or a mythological creature?
I identify as a centaur with wings. It would be uninclusive and disrespectful to disagree.10 Reply

Mind your business, you don’t have to like it, you don’t have to understand it, you just need to accept that it exists and that your opinion on the matter is irrelevant.

To put it bluntly. Who they identify as is a personal and PRIVATE thing that outside people have no right to interfere with, end of story.32 Reply- +1 y
While I agree. The problem is they are constantly telling everyone to accept them and affirm them. I don't even think about them until it gets brought up. At which point since I now have to make a stance I go with the scientific reality. Humans do not have the required genetic information to be trans.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yYou don't. You just have to follow the same rules as with everyone else: don't harrass people, (at least pretend to) respect coworkers and customers, and don't discriminate when hiring or selling to them.
And you don't even really have to do that stuff. You probably won't get in trouble if you don't. You might though. If someone reports you you may get talked to about it by a superior, or if it's a legal thing and there's record of you doing it you could maybe get like a fine or something.
But why would you even want to be given an exception to these rules just for trans people? Why do you want to harrass, disrespect, and discriminate against them in particular?

Ha I definitely don't hire trans people. Or liberals. Actually I typically avoid anyone who makes it clear they support stupid shit
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan and as long as you don't leave any obvious record of that, or you don't live in a place where trans people are protected from hiring discrimination by law, you can do that with no consequences.

I have no qualms about it being obvious reality is trans people are shit workers. Same with vast majority of liberals. Along with anyone who supports stupid shit. The good thing is the ones who are good workers make it equally as obvious as those that suck. The ones that suck are very loud about them being trans, or liberal, or whatever. The ones that are good act like everyone else they keep it to themselves. Haven't met one in my state yet but I am sure they exist somewhere

Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan true. Before my name was legally changed I made the mistake of putting my legal name on my job application and then being honest when the interviewer asked me if I had a preference for what name i was called. Hiring discrimination is not that uncommon, as I said you rarely get punished for it. That and other forms of discrimination are why many trans people go stealth if they can. Life's a lot easier when people assume you're cis and so they just treat you like a normal person. It does mean you can't talk about some things very much, like your childhood or college life, and using the restroom could potentially be risky. But I'd rather be quiet and ignored than out myself when I don't know whether they think I should have rights or not...

No such thing as a cis mate. I am a man. Not a cis man. I don't need an adjective to describe what kind of man I am as I am not any different from when I was born. If you are a trans man that is fine. From what I have seen thus far you aren't trying to force me or others to affirm or respect your choice as such I have no issues with you. It is your life after all. The issue I and many others have is when it is forced on us to accept it, affirm it, respect it etc.
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan I'm not someone you'd be okay with. Sure if we met on the street I would not say or do anything, even if you were wearing a shirt that said "kill all trans people." But if you were my coworker, and you found out I was not cis and started calling me the wrong pronouns, I would tell you to stop. If you didn't, I would report you. I'm lucky to have a boss who actually believes in non-discrimination and a job where I'm not easily replaced. Trust me, nobody wants to be disrespected or bullied. If they can afford to confront the person instead of hiding or running away, many will. And i think they should.

No such thing as cis mate. Only time an adjective is needed is in reference to trans men or trans women. Women are women. Men are men. Trans men are trans men. Trans women are trans women. That is the major distinction.
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan nah i disagree. I use adjectives for extra clarification, but they aren't necessary. If they make you uncomfortable I can just stop using both cis and trans. Would you prefer that?
- +1 y
Thing is trans men are not men. That is why the adjective is needed. If trans men were men then it would be different but they aren't. Biological science tells us that trans men and men are entirely different. For example if we were to take Biological samples from both you and myself. All Biological data would lead to my being a male and a man. Where as all Biological data on you would prove you are female and therefore a trans man. If we are to assume that gender is fluid then things revert to biological science as for how we determine who is who and what is what. This results in ignoring the supposed social term man and woman and instead referring to everyone by their biology. So if we remove trans as a descriptor then we would then also remove men and women and as a result you would be female and I would be male. Regardless of the approach the end result is as follows. Either I am a man and you are a trans man. Or I am male and you are female.
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan thing is yeah they are. The adjective isn't needed, that's why it's an adjective not a noun. There are differences between all men, but they're all men. There are differences between all people, but they're all people. Either you're cis and I'm trans, or we both just are. It's not complicated. We aren't scientists or philosophers (necessarily) so there's no need to get scientific or philosophical about it. Besides if we did we may have to use adjectives, and you don't like those...

Except I am a scientist. Specifically a biochemist. So when it comes to biology I do have to go based on biological data and as a result I am a male and a man because the 2 are interchangeable. And you biologically a female. Now I am being respectful by not saying you are a woman and instead allowing you the use of trans man. I am not a cis man. I am a man. Cis is a term being pushed on people like me because the LGBT community doesn't like the fact we do not have an adjective before man or woman. Man is the correct term for me. Trans man is the correct term for you. Male is the correct term for me. Female is the correct term for you. Male's are men or trans women. Female's are women or trans man. Now if you would like to get rid of trans that is fine. I have no qualms about addressing you as 'female' however I think that is a bit more reductive than addressing you as a trans man. If you want respect part of respect is accepting that not everyone will be okay with the terms you decide to assign them in addition some terms like cis are actually blatantly disrespectful because it implies that the base term 'man' or 'woman' requires further description for those that are a man or woman. Only the differences require the adjective which is why for people like you we say trans man. We acknowledge your claim of being a "man" but notate that you are in fact different from a man.
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan (and I'm a philosopher, but that's beside the point. We're both people first and don't have to view everything through our specialty lense.)
There at the end you finally get it exactly right. It's disrespectful to say that the noun isn't enough by itself. Trans men are men. Just like cis men are men. The adjectives aren't necessary. You understand that all men are men.- +1 y
No men are men. Trans men are trans men. I can go into the entire scientific breakdown if you want. But trans men are not men. And trans women are not women. The adjective for trans men IS required because of the fact that trans men are not men. They are trans men. That basic scientific and medical fact
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan yes, men are men, and men are men. No adjectives are needed. All men are men. If they weren't men, then they wouldn't be men. I told you you don't like me.
- +1 y
I have no issue with you lol you just fail to understand scientific and medical reality. You are not a man. You are a trans man. If you want to get rid of the adjective then you are a female. Your choice. Female or trans man. Those are your only options. Either way your biology shows the truth and always will you do not have the bone density or strength of a man. You do not have the height of a man. You don't have the mineral and vitamin baseline of a man. You do not have the testosterone of a man. You can't get a woman pregnant and you weren't born with the ability to do so. You were factually born with the ability to become pregnant. If you haven't had surgery you still can become pregnant. And many many other factors separate you from a man which is why the trans is required. You are not and never will be a man. However you are and always will be female. You can argue either of these all you want but the reality is you are a trans man or a female. Where as I am a man or a male.
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan lol no I don't. We aren't talking about science or medicine, we're talking about people. Men are men. When a man goes to the doctor he's still a man, and if he participates in a scientific study he's still a man. No matter what adjectives can describe him. Men's bone density and strength is regulated by their hormones, which in case of deficiency can be supplemented. Men come in all sorts of heights, also partly regulated by hormones, but also by genetics (hereditary). Some men can get people pregnant, and some can't. Just like some men can get pregnant and some can't. All men always have been and always will be men. Not because scientists say so, and not because philosiphers say so, but because that's just what they are. Men are men.
- +1 y
Men can not get pregnant. That is a biological fact. Getting pregnant is the sole province of women or those of the female sex. I can not get pregnant and never will be able to. You could get pregnant or can. Because you are a female. You have female chromosomes, you were born with female genitals, biologically you will always be female. You will never have the ability to get someone pregnant. Heck even the hip bone structure of you proves you are a female not a male and as such means you are not a man. The closest you can ever achieve to being a man is being a trans man. I am sorry but you will never be a man because you do not have the required body parts or genetic information to be one.
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan some can. You already acknowledged that men is not the "biological" term, so I don't see why you're pretending like it is now. You are the one who distinguished men from males. Don't act like they're interchangeable now. That just makes you sound dumb. Men are men, whether or not they're male.
- +1 y
What I said was male is man or trans woman. Because trans women have xy chromosomes. Female is woman or trans man because trans men have xx chromosomes. You are female/trans man. I am male/man. Do not attempt to twist my words child or my next reply will far less respectful
Opinion Owner+1 y@JacobJordan you just did it again. You used man to mean one thing, and male to mean a different thing. So I know you understand. Men are men, and women are women. Males are males, and females are females. Adjectives are still unnecessary. I'm not twisting your words, you are just agreeing with me. Sorry.
- +1 y
You are not a man. You are a female or a trans man. You biologically are also a female. You do not and never will have a penis, testicles or any of the other things that men or males have. You are suffering a mental delusion and your actions are going to result in extreme reactions within your body as it proceeds to try and fix the damage you are doing to yourself. THAT is the reality of your life. You are likely to start balding very early you are going to have severe health issues. And fairly likely that you like many others will regret the choice you made when you are older. You have xx chromosomes dear you can not and never will be a man. Accept it. You can't get a woman pregnant. Accept it. You are a female. Accept it. You have the hip bones of a woman which is only possible because you are a female. Accept it. At no point during this have you been correct because you are using personal feelings to try and combat scientific, medical and biological reality. In 200 years if people were to dig up your body they would state "this was a woman" THAT is what the future holds. Now you can accept that you are what your biology is or you can continue to try and twist what I am saying to fit your mental delusion is. Either way you are on your own. I bid you adieu mutilated lady.

transgenders are discussing and that's a unchanged thing for me, i have a zero respect or empathy for them, so all i am going to do is to ignore them, not making them my friend, not starting conversations with them and not insulting or harming them
It is so simple if you don't like someone you avoide him/her/it I don't know
So do the same just don't give a fu#k
