If born and raised in America, I think everyone is racist. Because we've all been exposed to prejudices and biases informed by racism and are exposed to, or work within institutions that are vastly racist.
And though "racism" refers to the taint that started with black slavery in America, it is the tip of worldwide "isms" that embrace classism, casteism, sexism, religious prejudice, education bias, ageism, prejudice against the disabled, and against any group that is not the dominant group in any nation, culture, ethnicity, community.
The human condition encompasses "isms" to keep one group in charge at the expense of others not in the dominant group. Russians bomb Ukraine. These people are of the same race and ethnicities, so why does one want to "take over" the other? Sudanese militia kill Sudanese natives. Again, these are the SAME people. But humans assert dominance over each other in any way they can to have the biggest piece of the pie.
Until we can drop all these motes from our eyes and see clearly that each person deserves care, love, freedom, and good lives, this ugly bent of humanity will continue.
It's up to each of us to see each other with clear eyes, and to help each other as much as we can to live well.
Putin attacked Ukraine because he wants the old Iron curtain Russialand. The NATO application was incidental. He has purported that Ukraine belongs to Russia and is Russian territory. Muslim brotherhood or no, they are killing Sudanese natives. But, of course, REALLY, Ukrainians who are not on the Russian bandwagon SHOULD be killed. And Sudanese who are not of the Muslim Brotherhood have signed their death warrants! OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! to quote the ever-loving Red Queen who plays croquet with live flamingos. Tyrants. They're everywhere!!!
I would say no. That said, it doesn't mean I view all races the same. In North America, Asians are generally likely to be law-abiding & well-educated. So I never fear them, but obviously would if one were to act aggressively or seem to be on drugs, but this is not something I've ever seen happen. Blacks, especially in the US, especially young men, I would completely avoid being around, unless dressed as a normal person (ex: in a suit). Young blacks in general seem to have a lesser respect for law & order, but the men have shown for years their acceptance of violent crime as a part of life. If a group of young Asian men doesn't worry me one bit, a group of young black men in America would make me concerned. Whites are a mixed bag. I've avoided groups of young guys who seem sketchy in behavior, same as I would black young guys, but not been worried about others. With young black men, I'd be worried about any group except those dressed normally, so no ripped jeans, baggy low-riding pants, etc.
But see, if the blacks are from Africa, I will not be worried, because I will assume them to behave normally. Young black men in America especially have created a reputation for themselves as acting like wild animals. It's often easy enough to spot which guy would never commit a crime and which might (based off how they talk, walk, dress).
Think about this:
Over their lifetimes,
28.5% of black males will have been incarcerated, compared to 16% of Hispanic males and 4.4% of white males. Behavior results in different expectations. Asians tend to be law-abiding, so this is what we expect from them. Blacks are not, so this is what we expect from them.
Even among the women:
3.6% of blacks, 1.5% of Hispanics, and 0.5% of whites will be incarcerated at least once.
It doesn't. Everything I said is reflective of current behavior of various population groups. No race is inherently more violent or respectful or wiser than another. In North America, when generalizing behavior based on race, it is a clear picture: the best educated and law-abiding group are Asians, followed by whites, hispanics, and blacks.
I am not Asian, but by nearly all objective measures, Asians make for the best citizens. Does it make me a believer in Asian racial superiority?
The reality is that in most cases in life, people don't care about race. But when race becomes a factor is when there is a group of Asian boys on one side of the street and a group of black boys on the opposite side and you choose which side of the street you wish you walk on.
Call the person who chooses the Asian side racist all you want, but it won't change the fact that this is a calculation done for the purpose of self-preservation, made with the knowledge that the chance of being attacked by the Asian boys is nearly zero, while the chance of being attacked by the black boys, while still very low, is probably no less than 20x higher.
I'd feel much safer passing by a group of Africans than a group pf African-Americans. Racism would suggest I should view both groups of black people equally, but I do not. Africans have their own temperament. African-Americans their own.
So my answer is no, because I don't hate any group of people purely based on their innate characteristics. If a psychopath kills a bunch of people, I will hate him. If he doesn't, I won't. His psychopathy makes it more likely for him to do bad actions, but my judgement of him is based on his behavior. Hating all psychopaths would be the same as hating a race.
Any person has the choice to do good or bad, but their choices are influenced by their culture. In America, there are multiple subcultures: urban, rural, black, traditional, progressive, and numerous national ones (ex: Latino). Recognizing the differences of cultures is not commenting on their status as humans.
Exactly as I said. But hating all psychopaths would be the same as hating a racial group. What defines a person more than their inherit characteristics is their actions. A psychopath, like anyone, chooses how to act. They may not be capable of understanding general society on a personal level, but they do know the laws & expectations. Same for racial groups.
Everyone knows education is rewarded with better paying jobs. Asians work towards education. Every other racial group works towards this less, resulting in them being less successful. This is where culture comes into play.
That's definitely not true. Not only are blacks graduating highschool at nearly the national average, but college attainment is at 26.1%, which while lower than the 36% national average, is still above the 1% of blacks who had completed college in 1940 and 5% for the general population.
If we consider that affirmative-action has been artificially boosting admission to colleges, then the reality for black students is that if most had put in some effort, they could've passed through highschool & college. Already, 1/4th have done this. In the time of actual legal & social impediments, only one from one hundred did.
It's believed that all people are racists because their views are all different, experiences, fear, and then there's their upbringing. Jane Elliott cracked this wide open back in the sixties when she took brown-eyed and blue eyes people and treated the brown-eyed people like kings and the blue-eyed people like garbage.
Most people don't think about this, but a scenario, you're driving through a black neighborhood, and you stop at a sigh, and a black man approaches your car window. Most people are not going to roll down their window. If it was a white man, more people would roll down the window. A lot of racism is out of fear.
Me personally, I hate almost everyone, lol. I think people are stupid, ignorant, and just not worth my time, and I'd rather own a dog than have them around!
Jane Elliott was definitely onto something!
I don't believe all white people are better than other races and I accept many black folk are better than me as I am better than many of them. So in that sense no.
But do I like black culture such as their music, art etc no not really so in that sense yes
Would I live in a black neighbourhood? No chance, but there are plenty of white neighbourhoods I'd not like to walk alone in either.
Here's the acid test, "if both of your daughters were stranded in separate white/black areas, which would you rescue first?"

I don't really care enough to think hard on it, since at the end of the day I don't actively discriminate against other races. If I do something racist without realizing it, then I own up to it if someone confronts me with it.
Otherwise, there's no point focusing on it, since it sounds like a slippery slope of overthinking in what you say/do to others.
Black Americans statistically commit a marginally higher amount of violent crime and they’re the least educated. I avoid them because I’ve noticed a pattern. I’m tired of the fake victim hood being pushed down my throat. They commit over half of the murder in this country and their victims? I don’t think so. It’s not black people in general, but rather black Americans.
They’re *
As humans, we are inherently inclined to recognize patterns, particularly when they relate to our safety. It is natural for us to notice patterns and take steps to protect ourselves. Therefore, it would be unfair to blame us for being vigilant and prioritizing our well-being.
The term "terrorist" is associated with certain individuals due to the lasting impact of the events of 9/11, which are deeply ingrained in American memory. Overcoming such stigmas takes time. It is important to note that the last historical period in which large-scale violence involving Christians took place was during the Crusades, spanning from the 11th to the 13th century. Blacks are still committing over half of the murder in our country statistically, therefore it’s relevant.
No, I don't think I am. But my parents are and I know many people who are too. I know exactly what you mean because I've seen it happening in front of me and also on TV.
The main issue is that 'racist' is a subjective term. So there's no way to quantify who is or isn't racist.
What?
So if someone mentions that 6% of the population commits 53% of all violent crime is that racist or not?
No, they aren’t manipulated. They are facts.
What difference does it make when all loony lefties are gonna SAY you're a racist no matter what? "You drink water and racists drink water so you're a racist!!"
no. i hate everyone equally when im in a bad mood, lol
most people can't hide that for to long if its in their hearts unfort
I don’t think so? I mean I have my preferences but I don’t think it should be classified as racist? For example I’m not sexually attracted to coloured people at all. But I don’t think that’s racism?
Huh? Since when is that racist? I was going to say black but didn’t for the sake of not being racist
That’s how everyone has ever referred to them for my entire life I’ve never heard differently 🧐
I recognize that we have different races but i do not treat people differently because they happened to be born a different race than me.
I’m not sure.
Would you consider me racist if I told you this?
I live in Europe and I really wish all of Europe would stop letting these non-white people in.
I'm very racist towards anyone who wants me to wake up early for jury duty.
No I am not. And if I was I would say it and ain't a damn thing one is going to do about it or I would dare them too.
Nope. We're all one blood. I judge people for who they are individually.
I am not, if you knew me you would say that I am not
We all have bigoted and disrespectful thoughts. The key is to not act on them.
how can you tell which answers are honest?
Not knowingly if I am
