Trending & News A buddy and I helped a couple people out of a car after a car wreck once. That seemed big enough to get involved. I don't stop for people with flat tires because that's screaming set up to me. I don't let people in that "just need to use the phone for a second" or some garbage. What you're the one person without a cell phone? In college I was going to step in when this guy smacked a girl on the butt, she tossed a drink in his face, so he punched her. By the time I got around all the crap in my way she'd already beat him limp and asked "if i wanted some of this." Never has the answer been a stronger "yes."
Just call the cops if I see something. There was a guy who tried to help woman being abused by her boyfriend and he got thrown off a bridge and the girlfriend defended the boyfriend and he gets self-defense.
I know a guy who tried to help a woman getting abused by her boyfriend and she hit him with a glass bottle. Only idiots do the white knight thing.
I just call the cops and that's the police problem not mines. I know it's not what you want to hear, but I don't want to work or die for nothing.
I consider my safety and my wallet and my friends first and my curiosity about the person second.
I once saw a morbidly obese guy sitting alone at a sushi buffet and I wanted to be his friend to show him he did not have to replace people with food but I knew its dangerous to talk to a stranger you do not know so I ignored my instinct to be his friend and walked on as if he wasn't there.
I also remember when I saw a construction worker smoking weed on the bus and I wanted to tell him he should not be wasting his hard earned money on weed but I did not say anything cause its dangerous to talk to strangers.
The last time I tried to help someone (a homeless man in a dollar tree that didn’t have enough money for his stuff) my card denied for his order for whatever reason and a lady behind me decided to help. He didn’t thank anyone and it seemed like it was almost expected because he knew people would step up. Ever since then I’ve been kind of careful and not thrilled to help others out much. I prefer helping distressed animals if anything
animals are better tbh
@historectomy agreed! Animals thank you with increased trust and affection from them when they realize a human has helped them.

depends. if i can help without putting myself at risk i will step in. if it seems like a potentially dangerous situation i'll call the cops but monitor the situation to determine if i should perhaps intervene
I usually help them. Last week I was in Lowes and a guy in a wheelchair was trying to go to the mens room. He could not maneuver his chair so I helped him.
ask my security they had to call it in when i ran over to an old man having a medical episode during remembrance service
I will help if I think its a situation where its possible for me to help.
Sometimes help, sometimes call the police, depends entirely on the situation.
I would only help if it was someone I care about or there would be no risk to myself.
No I conveniently look the other direction so I have plausible deniability. "Sorry, I didn't see them".😆
Depending on the situation, I may try to help - or not.
I will help but I am very discriminating.
i try to help unles they are weirding me out
Depends on the situation.
