Trending & News Stock value means nothing. Revenue loss is the important thing to look at. There are plenty of companies listed on the stock market with billions in value of the stock but likely dont even break a billion in actual annual recurring revenue. Also normal people aren't all that aware of how companies operate. People might stop purchasing bud light but will purchase corona beer which is owned by the same company.
I think in either case, let those of us who are against this be heard and render at least some effect.
Ah I love Go Woke Go Broke, riches to rags stories. Companies really have no business politicking and it is good to see lesson being administered. Why should consumers care about the employees when the management cares more about politics than they care about their employees?
Great point!
I don't if you have see the Netflix meme Polar Bears A Documentary.
I'm adopting this as my Woke jibe and have it printed on a t shirt. I might have got a Bud Lite image if I knew about it earlier but in Australia this something happening in the US.
Damnit. Bud Lite is too good to miss. Need another t shirt.

Target couldn’t care less. Their “loss” is nothing more than a crop dust in the wind to them. CEO explicitly stated the doesn’t gaf about boycotts. They’ll bounce back easily if they haven’t already.
I bet their shareholders were happy to hear that!
Yeah. And don’t get me wrong. I personally think they went too far. I mean Pride us one thing but we don’t it marketed it to children. That’s just weird. Also, if they’re going to do Pride in their stores then they should stand firm in it instead of rushing their clothes to the back of the store so it won’t piss people off. They’ve put their workers at risk to where they’re experiencing harassment, dealing with bill threats, etc. and they’ve shown that it’s all just about money for them and they’ll just do whatever sell.
As much as I disagree with the homosexual lifestyle I likewise disagree with bomb threats and harassing employees. Like the dude at the cash register sets Target’s policies. People who do that crap are more dangerous that what they are to be against.
I think it’s kinda lame Target sold out, they did go to far, yet I’m a sell out too.
I won’t buy Coke cause they told their employees to be less white.
I won’t buy Gillette because of their toxic manhood commercial.
Won’t shop at Target or buy Anheuser-Busch products. For their stunts.
Yet Amazon and the NFL also support Pride, however my hypocrisy knows no bounds, as I will bend the knee there. I simply cannot do without either as I see it. So, standing for my principals only goes as far as mild inconvenience with me apparently.
I do think marketing it to kids went too far. Most people haven’t figured themselves out until their mid twenties or older. Let’s not go chopping off anything or sewing up anything until we firmly know who we are and what long term consequences we will accept or not.
thank you.
It's worse than weird. weird is unorthodox shit. It's wrong, it's creepy, it's terrible. All that's left is to up the brainwashing, and have it lead to physical abuse, like child abusers all over do.
They actually lost 20% of their stock value from this and it hasn’t recovered.
Perfect.
This has nothing to do with money, right or wrong. It's about building your social credit score.
ESG
Environmental, social, and corporate governance
In America it's happening at the company level. In China it's happening at the individual level.
The next phase will be to get rid of paper money. After that, we will all be under government control. No bullets for Bob, and no donuts for Daisy.
So why all the trans stuff? Communism is about dividing and conquering. CRT is one of their best tools. It makes white children ashamed of their own race.
Don't say "Target couldn't care less" Of course they care; they're in the business to make money. They don't want to lose billions in market share.
Think of it like the mafia selling fire insurance to your corner store. Do you pay, or do you burn?
@Exterminatore
I'm 100% correct. Companies don't lose billions on accident. This is the new world order. The NWO doesn't give two shits about the LGBTQRS. The NWO just wants to divide us. Their goal is to have the "Haves" and the "Have Nots
Communism has never worked, but they keep trying to reinvent the wheel.
100% they dgaf. So true.
Same with the shortages and phasing out across the board.
Corporations do this because of the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) system that is pushed by organizations like World Economic Forum and the International Business Council.
Companies are threatened with lower credit ratings and other punishments if they do not comply.
So these companies are not "woke", they are being coerced by the threat of economic damage.
I think this is an even better reason to boycott. I'm definitely not on board with radical LGBTQI+++ and child grooming but, more importantly, not submitting to the globalist agenda is essential to life and liberty. The only way to resist these evil fucks is to be informed and to thwart their attempts at social engineering by refusing to comply.
I've been aware of this for a while, but I just found this article with a quick search. It does a good job of explaining what's going on. You should really check it out.
It's a real thing, not a conspiracy theory.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/esg-scores-similar-china-social-credit-system-designed-to-transform-society-think-tank-director-says
CT = not an argument.
Well said. I was unaware. Thanks for sharing.
lol, no worries. Cause consider it, right? How many times have "conspiratorial" things been proven?
That was meant for Lliam, however I thank you for your comments also.
If someone can’t look at what’s going on today and realize something is very wrong and that much of this is not by happenstance then they’re fools.
I mean…. we just let a Chinese spy balloon fly clear across the country…. and did nothing…. until it went across the country. Incompetence? Not on that level. That’s not an accident. Someone allowed it.
Then we have what certainly looks like the manipulation of the international markets…gold and silver fluctuations on the commodities markets so bad I’m getting sea sick…. yet we hear about banks buying up as much silver and gold as they may. Coincidence? My dying ass it is. They’re tying to get people to panic and sell their so they can buy it up when all the fiat currency becomes worthless.
S' also true about the compliance. 100%!
I think it's ridiculous myself that companies target certain audiences in the first place. Last year someone asked me if I ever written any gay characters in my novels, and I said no, but it's a good question, and really, I would not want to put a gay character in a story just because it's "The right thing to do," or to "Support" gay rights, like all these other morons do. I would never write a gay character because I feel like I should, but because I want to. I have one character that is bi-sexual, but I do not make any special exceptions.
These companies are profiting off of people because they're "Different". So many people already feel like outcasts anyway. I would rather stand out, than fit in with a bunch of norms. Sometimes people think I'm gay because of my goth look, and they use words like queer. I would be offended if I actually gave two shits.
Yeah, I think these companies deserve all that's happening to them. They care nothing about LGBTQ people. I don't have any romantic attraction toward the same sex, but I wish they would just be happy with themselves, and not let other people bother them. Everyone is different.
Fully agree.
I try to do it, but I think you have to approach it from the right mindset. For me, I don't even entertain the idea of these boycotts ever working to change the corporation's position because:
A) Almost every corporation supports pedos or queers or BLM or illegal aliens or some other globohomo agenda, good luck boycotting everybody.
B) Some of these international mega-corporations have more money than God, so good fucking luck affecting their budgets in any way.
C) Even if some company was seriously financially threatened by a boycott, the government will say they're too big to fail and bail them out and the government has infinite money.
D) Most of the people in those companies are true believers and will gladly take a financial hit in the name of "being on the right side of history".
E) The United States is fucked. Half the country is 100% on board with the globohomo agenda and will gladly purchase twice the amount of goyslop to make up for your boycott.
So why do I boycott these companies anyways even though I don't think the boycotts work? For my benefit. Instead of trying to affect change at the top, I work to give money to local small businesses who hold like-minded opinions. I try to make myself more self-sufficient. I work to develop better and healthier hobbies that take the place of binge-watching garbage propaganda. The boycott isn't to change the business, it's to change me.
Unfortunately I believe you are quite right.
The Tuck controversy aside Target's never been a relaxed store to shop in. (I think all the red makes people hostile.) To me it was always just a brighter more expensive K-Mart with a shitty attitude. So boycott or not I won't be shopping there any time soon.
Bud Light caught me off guard a bit. I would drink it every few holidays or so. Yet I would come to find out I was more upset about Amy Schumer being involved in an earlier ad campaign than Dylan. I just can't stand her celeb persona. She is the unfunny and grating version of Lisa Lampanelli. After that I dumped the 3 bottles I had left from March 17. Shortly after I found a more cost effective way to drink with less trips to the head.
I only feel bad for the employee's caught up in this. As far as the Companies go, I'm happy that the trend cracked under their feet. Although I find Disney to be the most entertaining company in the group right now. It's easy to boycott businesses as long as there are options. Even more so when prices go up and value over cost becomes more important.
And since there's a writer strike on, it's the most entertaining news I've read lately.
Disney is a bunch of loons.
I don't think you should boycott them. I just think you should never do business with them again. There is no negotiating with woke World Economic Forum companies that seek complete enslavement of humanity under their rule. If you are a free person, then your only option is to not finance them at all. Their companies need to be bleed dry. You can't run a boycott to change an aspiring dictator's motivations. They might back off their propaganda messaging for a little bit, but their over all goal is to own you as property. If you want to stay free, then those tyrants need to be destroyed. Every penny you give them, they will use against you to strip you of your freedom.
I fear you are right about this.

I just watched an interview with Riley Gaines. She was a champion swimmer, who quit and is now an activist. All she wants is for women to be able to compete against other women, and not compete against men pretending to be women. In this recent interview, she said that all her life she thought that boycotts were bad. But now she said that the government has no intention to stand up for women's rights, because they fear the woke. So now she is calling for a boycott to help return women's sports to women.
Agreed and I cannot think of a greater injustice regarding this matter than the invasion of women’s sports by men robbing women of the right to compete against women in their own sports.
I stand with all women against trannies on this one.
I just heard of another women’s team. I didn’t catch what it was, but they played for the YWCA. Everyday some freak dude showed up and took showers with the women. They didn’t even know who he was. The girls went to the coach and asked him for help. The coach agreed to put an end to this.
Meanwhile, the girls put up posters saying that the women’s locker room was for women only.
The coach saw this, and asked who was responsible. One girl raised her hand. She was kicked off the team. I was so disappointed that the other girls didn’t side with her and quit.
So the girl had to leave, and the pervy guy got to stay.
That is absolutely outrageous. Imagine that. Women not wanting strange men in the shower with them. The nerve of them.
I love how we just inconvenience the many and trample on their rights to accommodate the very few.
I think it’s important to look at exactly what the companies did to attract these boycotts.
Bud Light picked a very controversial individual who repeatedly made a mockery of women to represent their brand. Even though Mulvaney’s target audience minors, (which is creepy enough) Bud Light is a beer company trying to appeal to underage minors. Then they insulted their primary customer base on top of all of that.
Target decided to put “tuck friendly” children’s clothes front plane center of their pride displays. Which shocked normies who don’t pay attention to cultural politics. Target was already reporting losses before any social media groups started picking up on the story.
The real question is why the hard push to involve children in all these explicit topics?
Agreed and the answer to your question is the deliberate attempt to indoctrinate children. To pervert their minds before the reach an age of being able to think this through for themselves - somewhere in their 20’s for most of them.
They are attempting to create gays and trannies.
They're attempting to create trannies. But worse. They're trying to destroy us all.
These no doubt they are trying to create trannies. That’s the reason for trying to expose such material to people not mature enough to handle it. Get them when their young and imprint these ideas into the core personalities at a very young age.
What exactly would people gain from “creating” trannies?
Trying to popularize it and make it wide spread.
@SmokinAces2000, Any number of things. Population control, pharmaceutical dependency, societal demoralization, ideological subversion, etc.
@DarkWinterNights all of those just sound like conspiracies
He's right @SmokinAces2000. Not an argument to call it a "conspiracy," by the way. Just a way to try to dismiss an argument you can't get out of. Furthermore, HOW MANY TIMES have the dismissals been proven right? Ever hear of Yuri Bezmenov?
@ChooChooHaha who said I was arguing against it? Everything he mentioned literally sounds like some paranoid conspiracy theorist shit I’ve heard 1000 times. How is it that people take a bunch of things that have nothing to do with each other and come to these exact same conclusions that he mentioned?
Again, not an argument to call him a CT.
Besides, take down the definition. "Conspiracy" = 2+ people plot to commit a crime. A theory is still backed up.
Calling anyone a name isn't an argument. Just a way to try to deflect.
I don't know about people, but realize how many times the dismissal has been proven CORRECT. I don't know in general, but in this case, he's correct.
On the surface, maybe not. But do a little legwork, realize how far the reach is of the powers that be. Does that make them wrong in their overall point? The powers that be want power and control and are trying to keep it.
Yuri Bezmenov, ever heard of him?
I didn’t say any of that was actually happening. I was just suggesting possibilities.
My conspiracy theory about conspiracy theories are that the most ridiculous (like flat earth) are created just to discredit some of the more likely ones. After all, conspiracies are real and do happen. In fact- if nothing else, I’ve learned from Covid is there are a lot of very evil people with god complexes in power that feel they should rule over the masses. And that never ends well, in fiction or reality.
I haven't had to, those companies mostly I didn't go to anyways. Target... I find they are "just doing pride month", which to me is BS and offensive because noone explains what that plus is about, and I suspect some of this is mental illness. But I accept people, everyone has their issues and needs. if they have specific needs and section of clothes, so be it. But doesn't have to be in my face everywhere.
Bud -could care less except for the workers losing their jobs and the hands of the idiot marketers and execs whom appear to be keeping theirs. Sick... pay the workers and cut your bonuses/salaries.
Nike - no idea, don't buy their expensive stuff.
you said it best below...
Agreed. Well said.
The boycott against Anheuser-Busch was not mainly over using transgender Dylan Mulvaney though it did amplify the boycotts effect, but more because the the VP who was heading the advertising for Bud Light insulted its customer base and she thought she could do no wrong, and when the Boycott started instead of offering a full apology she doubled down on the advertising, and the guy who replaced her did the same thing, and the Boycott spread to other Anheuser-Busch brands.
As for Target they were just tone deaf and bot listening to their customers.
Agreed.
I don't drink beer or shop at Target so my boycotting either is moot. But I agree with it. But is it any worse than people committing adultery or having threesomes or BDSM? All these things were being done in Sodom and Gomorrah when God rained down judgement on them. So I ask again, how is LGBT any worse a sin than the others mentioned?
It certainly is no worse the fornication which is wide spread among heterosexuals. I think as a duty to Christ we must all stand against all sin.
I support it wholeheartdly enough with this shyt already. Enough with corrupting the mind of the youth. Enough with the elites benefiting from it. Its becoming a new religion that no one is allowed to dispute or disagree with. Jk rowling was burned on stake for speaking up against it
Fully agree.
MAKE GOOD PRODUCTS
SELL YOUR PRODUCTS
STAY OUT OF POLITICS!!! Bud, Target, Ben and Jerry's would be doing fine... but they wanted to play politics.
Agreed.
I'd only boycott a company if they did things that directly harmed people. Supporting LGBT... doesn't harm anyone as far as I can tell.
Meh…. Do we need to hear about it 24//7/365? If it’s not the gays it’s the race issue. Hurts me cause I’m tired of both issues popping up on the news incessantly and further more both issues are stupid anyway.
I would not do that. I would object if a company uses their platform to push an agenda that I do not approve of. Bud Light tried to do that. Coca Cola did as well.
Yup, and as a result I will buy neither along with Gillette for their cute toxic manhood commercial and most especially Coke for telling their white employees to be less white.
They don’t need my money and all have competitors that make good products.
Only problem is pretty much every company supports the gays, so I just limit my boycotting to any company who now attempts to continue to cram this down all of our collective throats as it’s become tiresome.
Agreed.
Agreed!
There's an apt name for the powers that be on that.
The globohomos.
The reality is every big company is going to support LGBT to some extent and we have to live with that.
As long the company doesn't target kids with sexual BS or promote Satanism then I won't boycott it.
Yeah, but I suspect if this happened to 2 or 3 other companies it would be enough of a message to silence the rest.
I've definitely boycotted Target and the Dodgers.
It's the supporting of fucking with children. I'm bi, the shit's not to be had.
Fair enough. Sexuality is conversation and concern for teens and up. Not 5 year olds. Their concern should be which cartoon they like best, and not worrying about these complex issues.
It's WORSE than weird. It's wrong. And it should be, in a basic sense, on sexuality, pubescent and up. The farther along, the more you go. Still minors these teens. It's not the complexity of it, cause if they can surprise you, it's a basic right/wrong thing. NO SEXUAL SHIT IN THAT RESPECT. NOT THE KIDS. It's already rampant af, it's not to be had at all. As my favorite streamer says, YEET THEM! RIGHT INTO THE SUN!
Lol. I think it’s complex to a kid. If I had an uncle that liked to wear dresses when I was 5…. I’d be completely confused. Wouldn’t matter how much I was told it’s normal or whatever, I can look at it with my own two eyes and see something is very abnormal with what I’m seeing and the explanations are not matching my gut instincts or jiving with what I’m being told.
Or if I say had an uncle who married a man…again, I’d be very confused at that age.
Further more I’d be annoyed cause I’d want to play with my Star Wars action figures and not bother with that adult business.
Maybe that’s just me though.
i don’t get the whole thing of companies engaging in social politics. I just want to buy a chicken sandwich if it tastes good i don’t care if ur jesus freaks or flaming gay liberal arts majors just make the sandwich and leave me out of it.
Totally agree. Just sell your crap and stay out of politics.
I'm not "supporting" LGTBQXZY. But I got better things to do then to go out of my way to pick a fight with someone. I'm going to buy what's most economical, even if it has a rainbow on it.
Seems logical and reasonable to me. Amazon supports them. Can’t do without Amazon. Prices on anything can potentially be found cheaper there, variety is unlimited, and even free shipping gets here in like 2 days.
Will I boycott them? No. What about the NFL? Nah. I love football too much.
Anything I can do without I will though, as to not support this mindless agenda. However there is no real alternative to Amazon or the NFL, so they got me by the balls.
The bottom line is I wouldn’t care about it at all but these people will not simply shut up and have to keep ram rodding it up our asses day and night, so now, yeah, I’ll boycott some stuff.
Coke and Gillette being the exceptions. Coke telling its employees to be less white, yeah they can kiss my ass. Gillette running a toxic manhood commercial, yeah they can blow me too.
Bud and Target can also kiss my ass. I can easily do without either.
So sticking to my standards kinda only goes as far as it’s convenient to regarding this issue.
These companies don't actually support anyone. It's pure virtue signalling. It wouldn't affect my purchases as a consumer.
You make a good point. I have yet to see them deposit a large sum of money into the gay caucus. Moral support would be a better way to define support which is really companies just trying to take advantage of the gays and making everyone think they care about anything but money.
I don't boycott. I Buycott. Modelo. My pillow. I support whom I agree with.
My fridge is full of Modelo as we speak.
It doesn't bother me if they SUPPORT it, it bothers me if they SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR THROAT!!
Yeah, I’m tired of either the gays or racism being mentioned every 18 seconds.
It is well deserved as people are getting sick of having this disgusting depravity shoved in their faces all the time.
Agreed.
Based. Any company promoting lgbanything should be camped up against and arrested
Nike is alright tho
I wouldn’t necessarily object to that idea. Whatever it takes to silence them. Tired of it being in our faces constantly.
I hate lgbtq +×<]=÷ 19fhs people so support those who want to keep things strait.
I can’t say I hate them, but will readily say I don’t agree at all with their politics or their lifestyle.
I call them alphabet people. What stop with LGBTQ? What not just go for the whole frigging alphabet?
* why not what x2.
In my opinion it is a ridiculous reason for boycotting a company. It of course entirely relies on how the company handles it. I don't know the context so I am also unaware of how good or bad they are handling the situation. (Handling it well = not making a big deal of it and having mostly regular clothing. Handling it poorly = getting the model to wear really ugly and overly sexual clothing simply to gather any type of attention.)
In my opinion homosexuality and transgenderism is absurd and promoting or endorsing either via the media is exceptionally wicked.
I can’t help you in yours either.
This assigns unreasonable importance to advertising. I like beer, but I do not care about their ads. Bud Light is not even a good beer either way.
The best is Stoertebeker Atlantic Ale from Stralsund, Germany.
In the U. S. I suggest Leinenkugel's Original. Miller Draft can also pass, but not the light version.
I can agree that Bud light is in fact poor for even for the standards of swill.
Miller light is not bad.
The issue is not the importance of advertising, but the agenda behind the adds.
Very uncool. But really I don't mind boycotting brands so much as boycotting over a topic that has so little effect on the average, assumedly non-LGBTQ+ individual. Like, what's the problem? It offends you that other people can buy clothing they like or that makes them feel like they can be acknowledged in public for who they are rather than having to hide an aspect of themselves that's functionally harmless? Why should that be offensive?
For me LGBTQ+ in and of itself is not offensive and I typically am to busy living my life to care much what others do with theirs.
However, since politically left leaning folks insist on bringing up the topic 18 times a day, and making me change my work commute to accommodate their parades, I am now involved.
All of us be like: “we get it, there are gay people, no one cares.” They be like: “you must cheer and clap when we make out in public or your a homophobe and are full of hate.” They need to screw right off with that nonsense. People can disapprove without hating, but when you insist on their compliance and want to label them…. that’s F’d up.
As far as Target goes, the marketing of this to little kids is objectionable.
The bottom line is I think most people are pretty sick of everything under the Woke umbrella and are tired of hearing about the subjects to include this one and racism and all the like. People are also fed up with the attempts to gain compliance or be labeled and ostracized. That’s one step away from Nazism.
I'm sorry, the big thing you're upset over with LGBTQ+ is the pride parades? Do you also have an issue with Thanksgiving, homecoming, fourth of July, and new years? And some highly political individuals taking about politics? That was going to happen regardless of their championed cause and regardless of their place on the political spectrum.
And frankly I don't have any issue with a kids pride collection. I think a lot of kids pride things tends to be oriented towards like, being able to support a friend or family member, or just a general belief. It's not going to make kids gay or something. I really struggle to see who it hurts.
And yeah, I get the frustration at the seemingly continuous stream of social adjustments and expectations. It can be frustrating. But for me I try to focus on how much being able to have these conversations can mean to the people it really matters to and avoid taking too much personal insult in the situation. Being tired of talking about something isn't a good reason to dislike a cause in my opinion. But that's just me and I already gave my opinion.
That was sarcasm dear. Perhaps my humor is just a tad too dry.
However the rest of your points I wholly disagree with, most especially hide the penis flaps marked at kids. That’s reprehensible at best.
Sounds fair to me. No reason to pick at each other if we can’t win the other to our way of thinking. Have a pleasant evening.
A lot of people mainly believe in protecting children, but I believe in shielding and protecting ALL ages from this tuff
Fully agree!
Check your facts. https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-target-pride-idUSL1N37L2CE
Lol Target has always been woke I can't fault them for always being about weird ass shit
I'm all for boycotting with your money if you don't agree with their message, but those companies still have every right to advertise how they choose and those who boycott lgbt still are homophobic/transphobic in the end.
They do have the right, you are correct, as people also have the right to boycott them.
However the boycotters don’t have share holders they must appease and corporations do.
Not a fight I’d be willing to pick as a CEO.
Probably not one I'd want to do either, but I applaud companies for standing up to their principles.
Also, I boycotted them. I’m not afraid of gays. Hard to be afraid of guys who wear their moms undies and speak with a lisp.
I am however sick and tired of their agenda being crammed down my throat, and that’s the real reason for these boycotts.
I can easily give you a list of like 200 companies that support LGBTQ+. Most are unaware these companies support that as they keep it quite. These two companies went just a little far.
You can try using the term homophobic all you like to manipulate people into acceptance or otherwise staying in the shadows. It won’t work any more as you can see. The hand has been overplayed. People are tired of it now.
Whether it works or not is inconsequential it's speaking truth to a situation.
We are just rubber banding back to correct for a push too far to the left. Once it goes too far to the right it will rubber band again just like it does all the time.
Yeah I like companies who tell gays: “you already have tolerance, now go live your life.”
Or
“For a group of people that claims to want to be left alone, as a group you are a bunch of attention whores with your parades and rainbow flags.”
But I hate lame companies who kiss the gay ass to make a profit.
Where is the criticism for those companies for being “homophobes” for like the last 250 years?
We rip down statues of Jefferson and Washington because they owned slaves but no one boycotts companies for failing to kiss the gay ass for the last 250 years, thereby making them “homophobes.”
You’re probably right about the rubber banding. It’s actually proven to occur in all societies.
Of course there is.
The use of the suffix phobic implies fear. No one is afraid of the gays.
People are however revolted by them, hate them for their sexual depravity, are angry with them and their agenda and their attention whoring and attempts to prevent very young children, and consider them intentionally sinning as many religions define homosexuality as sin.
As for me, all apply except I don’t hate them. I am imperfect and woe be upon me to look at another person thinking I too have no guilt before God. I merely disapprove of their lifestyle. Because I hate them? No. I also advocate for a healthy lifestyle but don’t hate fat and out of shape people. You can disapprove of someone’s choices without hating them.
Gotta agree with @Karen444. Those are terms made up to attempt to shame and bully people into not tolerating them but accepting and approving of their lifestyle.
It is awfully narrow minded to say anyone who doesn’t approve of my choices hates me. There are many attitudes a person can have in between enthusiastically approving and being violently against. To think one must be only one or the other and no degree in between is a classic example of black and white thinking, and in this particular case it’s an attempt to manipulate everyone into acceptance, which has no doubt caused some to hate gays on that premise alone.
No one likes to be told what they must or must not approve of.
Not afraid of the gays perse, just afraid of what they represent, and in that sense, yes phobia still exists.
What is it they represent exactly?
No one is afraid of gays. What’s to be afraid of?
Everything you listed for one. You personally don't know what it's like to be terrified to come out to your parents for fear of how your parents will react. Or this day in age where transgender individuals are accused of being child groomers by angry and fearful people who want nothing more than to eradicate them from existence.
It's easy to say it doesn't exist when you aren't the target of it, and in comparison, I had it easy just being gay with relatively supporting parents. I still get phobic comments all the time.
@ez
Hahaha yeah ok. Well for you’re info everything I listed is a legit reason to dislike a person or group of people.
Why do we need a man dressed as a woman to read books to little kids? Is their teacher illiterate and unable to do this him/her self?
Afraid to come out - yeah, you should be. It’s abnormal. It’s perverse. How would you like your kid to say: “guess what, I’m a girl and getting surgery” when they were born a boy. None of you collectively seem to care how your lifestyle will affect others. Are you going to tell me parents should be perfectly fine with their kids swapping sexes? What about their brothers and sisters? What about their other family? I know I know, it’s all irrelevant and it’s only the trannies wants and needs that matter and everyone else is just an a hole.
If you consider the things as reasons someone might “target” you then you need to use different words. People don’t like people who try to gas light them, people don’t like people who enjoy bizarre sexual kinks, people don’t like others agendas shoved down their throats or trying intentionally to pervert the minds of the youthful, people who are very religious don’t like those who intentionally live an ongoing life of sin and are further more angered by the changes they see in society as they see those changes as wantoness.
These are all legit reasons to dislike an individual or a group who espouses them.
It also doesn’t mean you’re persecuted.
It would be like me getting the word “fuck” tattooed on one eyelid, and the word “you”on the other, then walking around confused why I can’t get a decent paying job, then furthermore leveling accusations of hatred against employers. Complaining people are full of hate and don’t accept me.
Well ya, I got news for you. Not everyone is gonna condone, and their lack of enthusiastic approval does not mean you are persecuted and it does not mean something is wrong with them for their feelings.
If it's easier for you to paint that hate and fear into something else and just call it disliking someone for who they are, then by all means, I won't stop you.
Who cares if a drag queen or a circus clown is reading a story. It's just a performer in an outfit taking time to read to kids.
And no, nobody should be afraid to be themselves. I shouldn't need to answer to you or anyone else who disagrees. Let your God decide when I'm dead and gone, and not by the hands of the fearful, but by old age.
If my children came out as trans, I'd support them even if I couldn't personally relate to that experience. I know who I am. If it takes helping them discovering who they are, then I'll do that. Everyone else has a right to feel how they will, but they must also show compassion and understanding and a love that God says we must share even with the sinners. It doesn't matter if you like the lifestyle or not. It isn't your place to judge.
Their lack of approval isn't what concerns me. It's their actions when they actively legislate against, physically harm, verbally abuse me or others in the lgbt that I have a problem with.
Seriously, screw off. I don’t hate anyone and those Jedi mind tricks don’t work on me. Save it for the unintelligent.
I care. Why do we need a guy dressed as a woman reading stories and confusing them? Kids should be worried about whether they like Barbie or My Little Pony better and not these complex adult issues.
Yes, some people should be afraid to be themselves. What about serial killers? Should they express themselves? What about gang members? What about the trannies and homosexuals, yeah they should. When their choices are so extreme they hurt others, then what they do is not only unto themselves. Should they be harassed, beaten, killed? Absolutely not. But they should expect criticism. That’s all they should fear.
As far as God judging you, the Bible would tell you that you are Hell bound if you don’t repent. I hope I didn’t spoil the ending of the story for you.
Everyone does have a right to feel how they feel but do not have the right to involve others who want no part of it and certainly have no right to attempt to gaslight people and shame them into compliance by using words like homophobe. You people are more full of hate than anyone. I don’t hate my detractors, but you people do.
I’ll give you another spoiler which you already know since you’re a theologian now. God says he hates both the sinner and the sin, and he also says he will not hear the prayer of sinners save the sinners prayer. He says there is no mercy without repentance and that all who willfully sin are appointed to wrath. Would you like me to copy and paste scripture?
Who legislates physical harm? No one in any western country.
Verbal abuse to you folks often means - does verbally approve. It means what the rest of us would call criticism.
As far as hate crimes go, may those criminals face their just recompense.
It's not a jedi mind trick. It's just the circumstances we find ourselves in at this impasse. As I said in my other post to you, agree to disagree at this point.
@Exterminatore
I legitimately have Arachnophobia! I know you're smart enough to know that's a fear of spiders. Spiders were dealt a shitty hand in life. Imagine having eight hairy legs and fangs. If I was a spider, the last thing I would want is for Anheuser-Busch to put my pic on a Bud Light can.
There is no such thing as homophobia or transphobia.
@EZ
Here’s why I call it a Jedi mind trick. It is wrong to attempt to use a label to shame people to accept our lifestyles and choices. It’s manipulation. There is no gay gene. No evidence to conclude you were born with your sexual preference. So this is a choice. I have sexual kinks. I chose them. I can also choose not to engage in them. If you didn’t approve of my kinks I wouldn’t attach a label to you and say you hate me. I’m also not involved in a campaign to force everyone to accept my kinks on a national or international level. I’m not having parades for my kinks and anyone who shares them. I’m not on TV talking about it incessantly, and I’m sure not looking for attention about it.
Do you see where I’m coming from? I don’t hate gays or transgender people. I seriously don’t. I find it strange. I do think it’s sin based on my religious convictions, with transgenderism in particular I find it to be a bit revolting, I don’t like that we’re pushing these issues with kids. I don’t like the media is incessant about the subject.
So there we have it.
We can agree to disagree.
Whether you like the label or not, it applies in most cases where a fear of the "not normal" arises and trust me there is those who fear it whether they admit it to themselves or not.
Is there a "straight" gene or did you have both hetero and homosexual urges and chose to be hetero? No, chances are you've always been straight and never had to worry about it. I didn't choose to like women. I just naturally always did. Homosexuality is not a kink or fetish.
As for you not being involved in a campaign, you may not, but the church itself is. Lgbt is not trying to recruit children into it's ranks. We are just providing a safe space for those who come to realize they don't fit the "straight/cis gender" mold. Nobody recruited me. My parents were as straight as can be and we grew up Presbyterian. I just happened to be gay.
The parades are a form of protest, not to show off kinks, but to show we won't be pushed aside or hidden as the only form of acceptance. Even I'll admit that some of it is crazy even for me, but every protest has it's extremists.
I don't like that politicians are so incessant about the subject. They would love to roll back our rights and nullify my marriage. Right now they are hard-core targeting trans people and that's why the media covers it so much.
I'm glad we both got our say in. It was a civil but spirited debate and im happy for that. Thank you
I am soo tired of the cultural wars. They are worthless as there are actual issues out there.
A real reason to boycott these companies for the fact they use slaves to make their products
Meh…Bud is mostly manufactured in America, no slave labor. Target manufactures nothing, but they do sell items made in sweat shops.
Not sure why people whine about the cultural wars? How it improves anyone lives
Well…it’s a war as you stated and both sides seek victory. I see no end in sight until someone is victorious.
If we could all just agree that everyone will live as they see fit within the law and the subjects of these culture wars will not be mentioned in the news, movies, songs, internet, social media, TV shows and sports every 85 seconds…there perhaps could be a peace treaty.
As for me, I’m sick of hearing particularly about the gays or racism. It’s incessant and now I won’t be quiet anymore. They wanted reactions, they can have mine.
I just think people should just mind their own business and focus on improving their own lives
That’s what all of us were doing until it was decided we should hear about the pride stuff and racism 24/7/365.
You'll be boycotting every single company
Pretty much it. All of them support LGBTQ+…. most in hushed tones.
I EXCLUSIVELY support brands that support LGBT, like Jack Daniel's, Anheiser Busch, NASCAR, Skittles, etc...
Boycotting a company for briefly partnering with a transgender person is stupid ngl
Partnering with a transgender person is stupid. Sell your product. Say out of politics. The Average person has had enough of this subject.
A transgender person existing isn’t political. Now if the commercial was promoting transgender surgery or something crazy like that then I would understand but the mere presence of a transgender person shouldn’t be making so many people that angry
Its already happening
YisYis
it’s stupid and homophobic
Yeah I get it. Everything lefties don’t like is: homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, Xenophobic, Nativist, Sexist, Racist, or imperialist.
You do understand that each of you sound like retards with your cute labels.
Then there’s your cute made up words. Cisgender, normies.
Then the word gender was changed from meaning sex to the degree of masculinity and femininity a person displays.
If what you liberals promote is so great, why the need to try to shame people into compliance with your liberal speak and why the need to manipulate facts to gaslight people to get them to go along.
I know and you know this is the next words to be changed:
Concentration camp - boarding house.
Political murder - soil sample studies
Cremation oven - space reducer
Box car - public transport
Killing squads - earth depopulators
Camp gards - Moderators
You people are Nazis.
They played these little word games in the French Revolution also. 40,000 headless bodies later they figured out redefining words and killing everyone who will not play along maybe isn’t so good.
Amen to this. Which is why the foundng fathers made this rule: NO COMPULSION OF SPEECH. by the way, what's the word for political murder? Terrorism. Also, what's the other word for cos + government working hand in hand? :-D
