Why has the US become so trashy?

Fast food, drugs and addiction, homelessness, single mothers, high rates of mental illness. It’s become totally ghetto. Totally trashy, I see why Dubai has become a popular city for wealthy Americans.

People don't care about anything anymore. Everything is racist or politically incorrect. The country has gone soft. Instead of people fighting like they used to, they all go on the internet and make videos that later go viral because they are crybabies with no life.

No one does anything with their lives. In this trashy town I live in, some people laugh at me because I like to read and write novels. I can honestly say with much proof I am smart than them. The drug addicts around here, and the drug dealers are so bad, the apartment I live in, strangers come to my door all the time trying to sell me drugs because they need a fix on the ones they are addicting too (Complete strangers!) I Do NOT feel safe here, one bit. I fear one of them are going to attack me or rape me. Guys get raped too! And there are a lot of rapists here! And child predators. I get hit on by the rapists all the time, and they ask for sexual favors. Yeah, I'm not kidding! I have NEVER lived in a place like this. I've only been here for maybe 6 months, and if I could go anywhere else, I would have been gone by now.

but yeah, the U. S has gone trashy for sure. It seems like YouTube and TikTok are full of these kinds of idiots. Stick these morons in the real world without mommy or daddy to take care of them, and see how fast they try to change. I started a TikTok account for my novels, and I get recommended these videos, and I never saw so much stupidity ever! People do nothing and get thousands of followers. They look at the camera and sing to you. WTF? I remember when entertainment used to be entertaining. News flash to people who do this, ANYONE can look at a damn camera and lip sync. Only other morons that do this think you're entertaining! lol.

Yeah, the U. S is becoming overpowered by criminals, perverts, and idiots! What I wouldn't give to live on a private island!

Take a look at the Roman empire before the fall. ( I hope that's not coming) But before the fall you had vast income inequality. Roman didn't even want to fight there own wars anymore. They gave Roman citizenship for military service. Considering the United States all volunteer army is at an all-time low. Half those that do volunteer can't pass the physical. My personal believe is the United States is going to like Rome. Start trading American citizen ship for military service to refugees fromMexico and whatnot. We'll see I guess.

I mean, what are you comparing to? Fast food is obviously a modern phenomenon but historic diets weren't always that great either depending on when you're looking. Same goes for addiction, we just have more options now. Single mothers are probably more common as a function of higher divorce rates and less pressure on women to pursue relationships due to accidental pregnancy, but if the alternative is abusive households, coat-hanger abortions, and making pre-martial sex a taboo again, I'll take the single parents thanks. Mental illness rates are partly due to environment (bad diets, high exposure to man-made chemicals, more complex problems with higher information access, etc though we're still trying to figure out all the reasons) but also higher rates of diagnosis.

Besides, Dubai has a whole laundry list of problems and so does pretty much every other place and period in the world.

90% of people don't care about intellect or education, just sports, sex and food. There's no aspiration anymore. And the 10% of people on top take advantage of all that and use them as cheap workhorses and then sell them everything they produce.

France is not as ghetto, Paris is much less trashy than NYC, or Los Angeles. I’ve never been to Russia and Dubai is definitely not as trashy as any city of the same size even Canadian cities are far more trashy.
