It was the worst of times…and that’s it.
I kid of course, overall we’re fine. But don’t you find these two D. C. investigations strikingly similar? One is far less criminal than the other…but I’ll let you bicker.

Ironically, Hunter is the Repub’s version of Dem’s 2016 Russian Interference investigation. Which did lead to a dozen convictions and years of jail time for Trump’s cronies. Who he’ll be joining.

Trump was not colluding with the Russians that does not mean there was not an attempted Russian interference. Two things can be true it ones wanna Trump did not collude with the Russians, and to Russia tried interfering with our elections through social media via Facebook and Twitter.
Hunter Biden was actually picking up bags of cash from our allies and enemies Ukraine and China and using the by the name to gain influence in foreign countries otherwise he would tell daddy to stop doing trade with those countries. Joe Biden actually bragged about getting a prosecutor fired because he was investigating burisma for corruption.
Hunter Biden actually committed a crime Donald Trump did not.
I second your comments
So who went to jail? Not trumps people?
OK, it was not proven that Trump was colluding with the Russians, not the same thing as "Trump was not colluding with the Russians", especially as there were many examples of obstruction of justice, only some of which could be tried. Why bother obstructing the investigation if there's nothing to find? (Also, you missed out the hacking and release of Podesta's emails by the Russians.)
Yes, Hunter was making money off his father's name and position, that doesn't mean his father (the only one of the two in government) was involved.
The Ukrainian prosecutor was fired for being corrupt and NOT investigating companies like Burisma. He may or may not have had an open investigation into the company, but getting Shokin fired was not just a Biden priority, the EU wanted it, too.
"The European Union has welcomed the dismissal of Ukraine's scandal-ridden prosecutor general and called for a crackdown on corruption, even as the country's political crisis deepened over efforts to form a new ruling coalition and appoint a new prime minister.
Ukraine's parliament voted overwhelmingly to fire Viktor Shokin, ridding the beleaguered prosecutor's office of a figure who is accused of blocking major cases against allies and influential figures and stymying moves to root out graft."

"There was nothing remotely controversial about this at the time. No congressional Republicans complained about it, and the European Union hailed the decision to fire Shokin. The reason there is video footage of Biden touting his personal role in this is it was considered a foreign policy triumph that Biden wanted to claim credit for, not anything sordid or embarrassing.
But Shokin, of course, didn’t want to go down on the theory that he was corrupt or incompetent. So he started offering another theory: he was fired for going after Burisma by Joe Biden operating on behalf of Hunter Biden. "

@goaded concise
@goaded I mean given the fact that Joe Biden said, either you fire Victor Shokan, or you’re not getting the money for your defense of funds back when he was vice president, I would say that there is some crap in there. They’re definitely needs to be an investigation on that one.
@Stoner710 Dodge. How many of trumps people went to jail involving crimes with Russia?
It was US foreign policy, the EU wanted it, so did the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Shokin was corrupt, even for Ukraine. Prosecutors are supposed to prosecute, not use the threat of prosecution to get bribes.
The left went after them because they were supporters of trump nothing more nothing less.
Don’t forget that Hillary Clinton colluded with Ukrainian government to go after Trump. thehill.com/.../ For you guys it everything for my friends, the law for my enemies
Not to ad hominem, but "by John Solomon", really?
thehill.com/.../
"A February 2020 internal review by The Hill concluded that there were multiple flaws in Solomon's 14 columns about Ukraine and the Bidens, including omitting important details and failing to disclose that the sources used by Solomon were his own attorneys Victoria Toensing and Joseph diGenova—both close associates of Trump and his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani."
@goaded sorry it’s been proven Trump colluded with Russia. But just his underlings broke the law, because they’re idiots.
www.washingtonpost.com/.../...199710b69_story.html
@OddBeMe @goaded so basically what we’re all saying is all three of them are incredibly corrupt.
Problem and going into 2024 both sides run corrupt candidates find this very clearly way more corrupt than Trump.
Don’t see how president Biden has ever been proven corrupt. Yet at least. Take hunter. Please. We couldn’t care less about the little shit.
Hunter Biden has never been a candidate for office or given a place in government. Trump had to insist Jared Kushner be given security clearance because he wasn't eligible. That alone is more corrupt than anything Joe Biden has done.
@goaded except Jared Kushner brokered the Abraham accords in the Middle East, which brought peace to the north east for the first time in decades. Hunter Biden has been a cocaine addict, picking up bags of cash, and handing millions of dollars to his father, who knew about his sons business dealings and got Victor Proashaco fired and Joe Biden has openly brag about this. The Biden family is probably the most corrupt family and all of politics. I’m not saying something because the Clintons exist.
That’s saying something because the Clinton’s exist*
Those countries were not at war, and they're not even neighbours of Israel. That's hardly a "peace deal", that needs a war. Do you deny that Kushner's received $2 billion (with a "B") to "invest" on behalf of the Saudis? Or that his financial problems disappeared from investment from Qatar while he was threatening US sanctions?
Apart from that, you're simply repeating MAGA bullshit I already addressed.
Just looked up the Abraham accords…and it was a with the UAE. Not exactly isis.
The Hunter Biden investigation is more like Benghazi, which Republicans admitted were just to hurt Clinton's poll numbers. Hunter has never been in the government (where dodgy-but-legal actions should have consequences).
He's a private citizen and the Republicans have found nothing illegal that he did other than the tax evasion and firearm application, which have now been dealt with in court. There's no there, there.
If Trump's cronies had wanted the laptop story to be taken seriously, they should have released it months before the election, not weeks before, after establishing a reputation for making shit up over the preceding six years.
I’m a bit more interested in the DOJ and IRS potentially sidetracking this investigation like the FBI did with Kavanagh. That’s a real issue for me. Of course, Repubs will fck it up like always and make “Benghazi like”…
