Is there even an acceptable reason to hit a woman?

In my opinion the only acceptable reasons to hit anyone at all are emergency self defense, during sports such as boxing, or if they ask as part of a kink.

Funnily enough, this question came to me after I saw the ending of the horror movie Leviathan, where the protagonist socks the woman who locked him and his crew with the monster resulting in their deaths, when she greets him as a hero.

Doesn't matter who, Doesn't matter what ever reason going on. Fist starts going I'm reacting in kind. Picking up pace or lowering in response. Find a way to dip out and take off.

Im also 6,8 over 350lb. So any deliberate attack isn't an excuse to to go all out on someone. I need to protect myself within reasonable means and nothing more nothing less.

This is why we have jury of peers. People do create situations by the very letter of law to be within legal right to kill a person but practice is absolutely evil sadistic muder.

So always think of yourself as a reasonable person and a reasonable peer. Then the legal system makes 1000x more sense.

My mother counseled: "If SHE doesn't act like a lady, YOU don't need to act like the gentleman" I have NEVER physically struck a female FIRST, even during my law enforcement career or as a nightclub lead 'bouncer'. BUT... you need not be her 'punching bag' either~

Legally, male or female, you are only LEGALLY entitled to use as much a physical force necessary to WITHDRAW from the confrontation; any greater... as to 'teach them' a lesson, is legally 'continuation of the offense'. ;)

A woman can’t go around hitting men and expecting one of them to not hit back. I was taught once someone puts their hands on you , it’s fair game. Women that hit men without reason need to have lessons taught to them

Of course- all the same reasons that it'd be acceptable to hit a man. Granted, most of those reasons have the caveat "... and you're unable to stop him in a lesser way", which is likely to be less common with women, but it's not like it's less moral to inflict pain and suffering on someone because of their chromosomes.

If she threatens me with a weapon or she hits me first then I will punch her out as I am under no obligation to get stabbed or be some cunt's punching bag. An attempt on my life like the one described in your post would result in her losing teeth or going to the hospital. Equal rights, equal lefts!

(Legitimate) self-defense, as in exactly enough to remove yourself from the conflict, or sparring (meaning both people agreed and there are limits/safety measure in place to prevent injury).

To "hit" a woman? Sure. If she won't stop hitting you. But all you have to do is barely put your hands on her. Women aren't stupid, they don't want to fight men. She's going to stop hitting you the moment she realizes she's going to get hit back. Unless she has a weapon, there is never an acceptable reason to beat the shit out of a woman.

Sure. She is still a person, and equality works both ways. But reasons for hitting a person can be anything from playful to retribution.

Yes, in self-defence. For example if they attack you with a weapon you can use force to disarm them. If they attack you physically but unarmed you should be able to restrain them without the use of striking.
