Liberals and conservatives, why do you straw man eachother so much?

What's up with that? Why is it that neither liberal nor conservative is capable of pretending to be the other side?

For example, I might be defending a liberal idea. In order to do so, I will detail the right wing perspective correctly. Meaning, as they the right winger sees and understands it. I will even make their argument BETTER.

Then I will pick apart said argument that I have carefully constructed.

But then suddenly the liberals all turn on me and start spewing straw man arguments at me, only because I was able to portray the conservative argument correctly.

This caused them to believe I must be a conservative, even though in the next paragraph I tear down the argument that I had just built.

But they totally ignore that shit and just blast me with straw man arguments.

This is what helped me wake up from being a liberal in general and I moved on to being an independent thinker.

I had tried so hard to be absolutely objective, digging deep and being honest. And I was attacked from my own people one too many times. I consider it a red pill and I think a lot of people are taking that pill lately and going their own way.

Anyways, it's just sad to me that nobody knows anything. You all think you know everything and yet you remain utterly clueless about any perspective but your own. Going both ways.

Even politicians do. And I know politicians actually know better because I know they're often educated in things such as political science.

Political science does a decent job making both sides frameworks of understanding pretty clear.

Yet nobody has any desire to learn. Only to vehemently express their narrow blind view and defend it to the death.

Exactly, a politician announcing their candidacy for presidency, their cock of political power growing and pulsating with each word they utter. The media is all over it, speculating and stirring up drama like a bunch of horny fucking vultures.

But then another candidate appears on the scene, their johnson pulsing with a power so intense it could make the earth shake. The two dicks clash in a battle for political supremacy, each trying to outdo the other with promises of free healthcare, education, and jobs.

And then, just when you think it can't get any fucking hotter, a third candidate enters the fray, their tower swelling with a power so massive it could make the other two candidates look like fucking chumps. The media goes wild, the voters are in a frenzy, and the entire political landscape is turned upside down by the sheer force of these pricks of power.

And that, my dear, is why politicians love to tease us with their potential candidacy. It's all about the power, the thrill of the chase, and the promise of glory. So next time you see a politician announcing their candidacy, just remember - behind that polished exterior lies a phenomenal penis of political power, just waiting to be unleashed on the world.

Today's Masters (media & politicians) want people at the extremes. Makes it easier for them to take more control over everyone's life. The days of the middle ground or compromise is, more or less, dead. Just waiting for the tombstone to show up.

Possible solution, vote both the Democrats & Republicans out of the majority and out of power in all levels of elected government.

For being able to correctly articulate an opponent's position, nowadays falls under the label "Damned if you do, damned if you don't."

But I think you are wrong when you say the far leftist is living in a warped sense of reality.

The far leftist's views are the ones which become public policy.

That's how it works and I can prove that with evidence from college textbooks.

The intellectuals who do all the work and thinking, are the ones putting all the pressure on liberals.

Liberals generally accept what intellectuals say as fact.

The far left is not radical like liberals like to say. That is a straw man. There is no such thing as a radical feminist on the left.

There are only far left ideas which the liberal left have yet to accept.

Most far left ideas are not new and not radical within the umbrella of far left.

Their aim is to slowly get the problems they identify solved by putting pressure on liberals to right wrongs they have discovered with very deep research.

What do you think about the state of conservatives vs liberals?

Conservatives have identified the truth that I detailed above. That the far left in truly in the driver's seat.

They fear that greatly obviously. But they aren't wrong.

I have seen all too clearly since 2016, that the far left has caused the far right to become more extreme.

What liberals I think are unaware of, is that conservstives are more reacting to the far left.

The liberals think that is unwarranted. Liberals are not socialists communists anti property rights nutjobs.

Liberals themselves do not understand the intellectual nature of the things that come from far left thinkers.

Liberals in general merely accept what is given to them as decreed moral by a higher intellectual power.

Conservatives are reacting to this by retreating into religion and traditionalist thinking. Retreating into THEIR higher power.

I think it is interesting that feminists and leftist intellectuals can decree what is bigoted and what is not.

And that is determined by history, data, facts, Marxist perspectives taken as fact, fundamental philosophical questions which have no answers.

Liberals do not see the underlying implications to their views.

Conservatives are just a bunch of dummies.

But you have a point. I actually have a bit of a dream to take the debates I have seen from a person named "Destiny."

He's really smart and he tears apart the red pill guys.

But he is also lacking a lot. I'd love to take a person like destiny who generally does a good job, yet still engages in straw man arguments as a standard.

As. A. Standard.

For me to write out examples would be a shit load of typing. I'm not trying to do all of that. There's too much to explain complete with facts.

No I feel like it's extremely obvious to anyone who ever saw any kind of political confrontation between two people literally anywhere from internet to state house.

Because it's fun?

Because sometimes someone smart comes along and says something really good and I might learn something.

Or I might have a good conversation with someone and learn something.

I might discover new tactics people use to evade eachothers political arguments.

It's all to some greater end, where I reconcile various ideologies and perspectives.

And it's casual and fun and not the same as reading academic texts all day.
