I was on that bandwagon before it became a movement. Good for people realizing that not everyone needs or should be parents. Our families, society, friends... even social media feed us this nonsense that part of being a "normal" adult and growing up is having kids and a family. NO! That "norm" needs to go away.

Some of us choose not to have kids because we realize the cons of them outweigh the pros- or we just don't like kids. And that's okay. Better to not bring kids into the world knowing you're not fit to be a parent, than a kid being brought into the world neglected, abused, or dealing with parents that still have a child-like mind themselves.

I know for a fact I wouldn't be a good parent; at least I'm honest enough to admit that. And if I rather have dogs than a baby to take care of, so be it!

Seems like just a stupid trend. I understand some people are seriously not cut out for having kids and that's fine but I'm sure they'll be some people when they're old regretting that they didn't have kids.

Populations are in decline and young people seem focus on living their best lives with responsibility or duty.

Western governments should be worshipping parents and doing their absolute best to support parents and advocate for new families.

But they don't because divided we are weaker and more controllable.

Where are the next generation of workers going to come from?

Maybe in opening the borders up, the democrats will prove themselves visionaries in allowing in new ready made families. The Germans allowed in a vast number a few years ago and the British are doing it on the quiet.

I didn’t know we were a “movement.” Regardless, my husband and I just enjoy life as is. It’s no more simple or complicated than that. We’re not trying to be parents but if it happened we’d take responsibility of course.

I can get behind the idea of not having kids, for whatever your reasons may be, but the naming suggests they view children as a kind of plague. As a former child myself, I find that deeply insulting- but even I will admit that such people are exactly the kind who shouldn't have kids, so...

A lot of it is filled with clowns, thinking that not having kids will change the weather for example.

The reason I won't have kids is because the marriage system is corrupt, the economy is trash and there's no sign of stopping, as long as the US proxy war with Russia is going on, I would not be surprised if we get nuked very soon anyway. I am surprised we haven't been nuked already.

I think it´s kind of pathetic to call it a movement. If you don´t want to have kids then don´t have kids. Any one can be and should be child-free if they can´t get along with kids. Why is there a need to have a movement for that? To me it´s a cry of some people to get attention for something completely ordinary. It´s the same like guys pointing out to everyone that they are mgtow now and think it´s an information everyone needs to know.

Not everyone should have children, and we do have a population issue, with too many people and the numbers of aging seniors increasing faster thang youngsters. Not having kids doesn't solve the issues, though.

I do want bio kids and to adopt/foster because there are already so many in the world. If we can support them and want to, then wonderful. If you don’t want to, no judgements! Why pressure someone to do something they don’t want to or can’t financially or emotionally? You don’t want to bring more kids into the world who are neglected or end up the parent’s “buddy” instead of their actual child…too many parents these days want instakids or buddies instead of raising their own children.
