I seems like they would be excellent parents. Better than the traffickers, slavers and pedos that the HHS hands unaccompanied refugee minors over to. And no doubt better than some woke, leftist freaks.

I'm not religious nor conservative, but I know conservative Christians who are wonderful parents. I have one very conservative, very religious friend who, with his wife, has two children, as well as five adopted children. Those kids are wholesome, well rounded, and exemplary in every way.

The Constitution says: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." That is the law of the land. All states are bound to it.

What gives the state the right to engage in social engineering with a bias in favor of LGBT, gender Queer ideology, including support for mutilation and sterilization of children? Must people have those "values" in order to care for and raise children?

I hope there is a huge backlash against this shit. And I hope this couple wins big in their lawsuit against Massachusetts.

Given the high rate of homelessness of queer youth due to being unsafe in their own home, and the high rate of suicide most directly effected by family support/rejection, I absolutely agree with this decision.

It's the same idea as not letting a couple use a surrogate bc they practice a religion that supports the abuse of girls, and you have no way to tell if the baby will come out a girl or not.

It sucks, but I don't see any way you could trust parents like these to care for any child, because you know they would actively harm certain children.

Most foster families do. Especially religious ones.

Frankly, no, they wouldn't be a good foster family. I was raised Catholic - it damaged not just me, but my whole family. If my family weren't Catholic, it'd probably have meant I would still be in contact with them.

That being said, they really shouldn't have been denied over this if they can provide a safe, loving home no matter what their beliefs are on the matter

Ultimately there are not enough foster parents and dismissing viable parents for apparently non secular reasons is doing the children under their watch a disservice.

I know common sense and duty are old hat and fanciful in these enlightened times but I can only hope the courts have a more balanced view. It could be there are valid reasons that we don't know about.
