Are men generally more empathetic/sympathetic to women's issues or are women generally more empathetic/sympathetic to men's issues?
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yEven.
It's less about gender and more about the person's character. I know we like to think that women are more nurturing, ergo women would be more empathetic/sympathetic. But that largely been engineered out of the woman psyche by things like feminism. I think most women view it as a weakness. Only to be shown to people they truly trust. I think it's a large reason relationships are as broken as they are. As @coachanthony likes to say men don't want a masculine woman. Woman (even if they don't want to admit it). As a whole want to compete with men today on every level. And that is thier choice but you can't expect guys to see you as anything then thier competition then. And men are naturally gladiatorial. This has caused a lot of men to take the opposite approach. They don't want to compete with women. And there's no point in being a man if you're not doing it for your role in relation to women (which shouldn't be the attitude but unfortunately is) guys nreed incentive to be guys. Women have taken all that away. So women have gotten more masculine and aggressive so men have gotten more passive and feminine. And it frustrates and infuriates women... but hey, you got your equality now.😆

+1 yWomen don't give a damn about men's problems, even in cases where it's obvious they should. See Hillary Clinton's "Women are the primary victims of war" quote.
Because of this, I don't give a damn about their problems either because they really don't have any that aren't of their own making.

women are 100000% more empathetic. i cannot count the amount of times i have seen men completely disregard and belittle women’s issues. some even have the audacity to say women aren’t oppressed, and that men themselves are more of a victim. as if we do not currently live in a patriarchal society right this moment and have been for centuries.
Men are typically their own worst enemy. “Man up” “real men don’t cry” where do you think they hear that phrase so often from? Other men. This can very clearly lead to toxic masculinity, which in itself is a whole harmful concept. this answer should be blatantly obvious.
(And obviously this is not the case for everyone but i find it to be the most common)02 Reply- +1 y
most of women's issues today are largely due to their bad choices in life. the other issues they face are not gendered-specific as men face them too. for the issues surrounding factors outside of their control, it is impossible to fix unless we live in an ideal utopia and there's no such as an ideal utopia
as far as men being their own worst enemy, you're not entirely wrong as historically it's been the case where men at the top sabotage men at the bottom but by in large when it comes to the issues of the other gender, men have everything in their power to make the world a better with the goal of maximizing women's needs, desires and comforts
as far as women caring about men's issues. outside of the small minority the vast majority either ignore or see men's issues as somehow misogynistic and a personal attack on them and now because the consideration of men's issues has become women's issues, that issue alone is being addressed swiftly with cancel culture, shame tactics, speech silencing etc.
almost every action and invention ever made had the sole intention of benefiting women and only the side-effect of benefiting men
actions include wiping out entire species of dangerous wild animals, creating laws that criminalize murder, rape and establishing a legal age of consent, boys and girls in schools both being taught to behave more like girls, jobs offering affirmative action hires etc.
inventions include washing machines and vacuum cleaners to replace hand washing and sweeping with a broom, mattresses, pillows, heaters and air-conditioners to increase comfort, an overload of entertainment to reduce their boredom, social media to keep them more in touch with friends and have access to top tier men they would never have come across in their lifetime etc.
why would women need to be more sympathetic to issues of men, if mens lives are a million times easier?
men make more money.
men don't even need to take care of their own children. compare how many single fathers to single mothers.
men get free sex , free maid, free girlfriend to raise his kids while all he needs to do is to go to work come home and not cook dinner or do laundry.
take a look at the world's richest people- they're predominantly men!
take a look at the world's poorest people- they're predominantly women!
do they need to deal with PAINFUL PERIODS every month? the expensive bras, tampons, pads?
do they need to deal with the pain of childbirth? how about career setbacks from it?

in many countries in the world, being a woman is seen as a disadvantage. - +1 y
Your wage gap has been debunked multiple times. Also if it were the case that men have it so easy, men's suicide rate wouldn't really be 4 times higher than women's.

@Aiko_E_Lara
so what? all throughout history, it was very common for women to die giving birth to children.
and no, you haven't debunked the wage gap. Putting up fake links dont count. - +1 y
Yeah like what Unit1 said. If everything I say is fake, what makes you any more truthful? I don't even think you're an expert and qualified yourself

because it is common konwoedge women make less money than men.
women also have to take time off for pregnancy , take time off for maternity leave. women receive LESS MONEY during maternity leave. Women do an unfair share of the HOUSEWORK despite working FULL TIME jobs.
i don't need to prove something that is COMMON KNOWLEDGE. - +1 y

your mother would be ashamed for birthing an asshole like you who dedicates his life to shitting on women. you should be grateful for all that women have done for you. - +1 y
And that's not even all. A lot of men die hunting and doing their jobs. More men than women just die in general even today.

so what? women die in childbirth. For millions of years, women have died giving birth to children. - +1 y

[More men than women just die in general even today.]
because men start wars.
because men join gangs and are happy using guns.
because men are more likely to commit crimes. they get shot by police.
on the other hand, women are more likely to be victims of crime because they are seen as weaker. - +1 y
Actually she is proud of me for being a smart anti-feminist. And of course you don't really know what would happen if war never happened. If men were not the providers and the hunters, we would all be eaten by other bigger predators for getting swallowed by nature and entitled brats like you won't have anything to eat. The reason for war is to compete for survival so if there was no war, we would all just be weak living under a rock. In every success you can say there is always women behind it but it's also not different when it comes to gangs and crimes, there is also women behind it and they're also a lot of men getting accused by women playing victim. But of course you only would like to see those crimes but you don't want to take a look at the gender who mostly rescue anyone from disasters and accidents AKA males.

+1 yThis is where women say they are more empathetic/sympathetic towards the issues of men, which will be a lie because women refuse to even acknowledge mens issues, they just blame men for mens issues and blame men for womens issues.
They won't even acknowledge the faults in their own gender.
82 Reply- +1 y
Women are starting to acknowledge men's issues but they're doing it only to benefit themselves as well as to get those men/boys who are leaning conservative to become liberal leftists like them (like the women)

@SolitarySolace Very true
+1 yMen, no question. Oh, they might not be especially empathetic to women's issues, but they're at least aware of them; most women can't say the same. This isn't entirely their fault, either; most men don't do a whole lot to ask for help- but of course that's reinforced by the backlash they often get when they DO.
Warren Farrell wrote a whole book on the subject.
