Do you eavesdrop to people’s conversations in public when they’re too damn loud?

yes always, sometimes I join in. Very rarely do I get a nasty response. I did get nasty responses when I was single 20's in a bar. 3 girls talking etc. Women and men are nicer as they age, less attitude.
I work in customer service and I always think it's so rude when they on the phone or too each other when I'm processing them, so sometimes I'll be a smart-ass and respond to their conversation 😂

I don't call it "eavesdropping!"
I like what I call Next Tables. Fragments of conversation you hear that set off a Hmmh response and when you rewind the 3-4 second auditory recall we all have, you find something really saucy was said. e. g.
"No I am not in a relationship. I'm just pregnant"
"I told him he wasn't putting that thing in me. It was way too big"
"It was a nice creamy color and the skin was so smooth". Said response to the other girl asking about a Swedish guy.
Girls really get into it when talking to other girls.
I mean, if they're not trying to be discreet, then what can you really do? 😄
For instance, about 5 years ago, I was taking the train back home (it was a two hour train ride) and this girl was sitting across from me and she noticed this guy looking for somewhere to sit. She went after this guy and invited him to sit with her, and so he did. They spent the whole ride talking, flirting, and at one point, the guy started sending voice texts to one of his friends. Towards the end of the ride, the guy asked the girl if she wanted to go to his place instead of her just going straight home. She said yes (that's not verbatim, but she agreed to go to his place) and that's about all I remember from that ordeal.
To this day, I still wonder what happened between them. Did she really go back to his place? Did they end up falling in love or did they just have a nice little hookup? Maybe they just chilled and smoked a little weed or something?
I guess I'll never know. 😔
How can you not if they're talking too loud? I swear some people talk loud on purpose so others can hear them!
Only difference is I don't butt into their conversation or say anything; I merely listen and judge them accordingly. Kind of like "people watching": I can watch and enjoy the conversation without getting involved.
I'm expected to at work. Gotta make sure they aren't about to try something illegal. And they often are. And they're stupid enough to conspire right in front of the cashier.
No I only do this when me and my family have been to vacation in US and we hear some Swedish people talk😂
It’s not eavesdropping if they’re loud. I’ve told a stupid joke really loud and laughed way too long and when they all shut up to look at me I said “oh, was I too loud?”
It's not eavesdropping if they're not keeping it private. I'll listen to see what's up.
I had an assignment in one of my writing classes where we had to take one line from a conversation we heard in public and start a story with that. So we all went to Trafalgar Square and went around listening in to others' conversations.
It’s not eavesdropping if the people are too damn loud, they want you to hear it.
Yes especially if somebody speaking loud I do eavesdraw. Tells me what the person is and who they're talking about at times, I may know who the person they're talking about.
That's not eavesdropping, that's overhearing or even JUST hearing!
If they're that loud, then they shouldn't be surprised that someone piped in. I just leave them be, I really don't care.
If they to loud how can you avoid eavesdropping
I wouldn't mind joining there conversion either way
I do it even when they're not loud 🤣. Info is invaluable
No I don't. It annoys me when I hear other people's conversations
You can’t help but hear what they’re saying when they’re talking that loud
Definitely. I have nobody to talk to; so listening to others is all I have.
ya i find it funny. i enjoy people watching it’s usually interesting.
If it’s about me or something that would bother my sanity then maybe lol
Yea it keeps me entertained sometimes 😌
