They should desegregate the sexes and send women to the same places as men, but since the female prison population is smaller (not because they commit fewer crimes) then they should select where the prisoners go.

I would send them to share cells with the most bloodthirsty murderers and rapists, so they will share cells with Gary Ridgway, Dennis Rader, Joseph James DeAngelo etc.

But honestly, we all know this not the case, and putting woman in the same prison would put woman at a extreme disadvantage. Because that woman would not be able to truly defend herself or protect herself and she would have to find a man to do it for her.
