None of that really matters for understanding why the US is the current world superpower, but they are all reasons why it won't be the world superpower in a few generations.

Ultimately it's a good thing because America has been the most evil empire to have ever existed in all of history so the sooner it collapses, the better off everybody will be.

Because despite all those problems, they still have the most powerful military in the world. And it is tested. Not just on paper and parades.

The US' ability to project power literally anywhere in the world - at the same time, makes them hold the top 1 spot.

And the USD is still strong.

And their top allies are strong.
