Should universities/college be state founded or for profit?

I think universities should be state founded non profit it would benefit the whole society if only the most qualified ones that worked hard in school to get a spot and than can contribute to society instead of how much money you have tell me why you agree/disagree?

I’ve always felt community colleges should be taxpayer funded and free to the student. There are many useful 2-year programs and students would have the option of getting their first two years free and then transferring to a graduate school to finish up, cutting down on overall student debt.

Yes. The problem is then it would have to be tax payed. But either way yes I agree with you on this one actually.

If they did, instead of admissions for the children of rich donors they would base enrollments on race and membership of other protected classes
