Why do Chinese let me take part in their National events?

Every time they have a National Event, they buy me National dresses and let me present a speech in front of lots of people,

I am not even Chinese though, I am from a Democrat country.

I mean I feel honored but a bit surprised, even now I am wearing a national Chinese dress and they take pics with me.

I don’t speak of their politics, because I am not interested and not fond of communism. I hated Soviet Union. My speeches are mainly about the culture and history.

When I visited Shanghai on business several years ago, the local Chinese were very friendly and included me and my coworkers in several activities. It was explained that's common in Chinese culture.

Because they want non-chinese to take accurate towards their Traditionals. Meaning they aren't strict to have only Chinese participant.
