What’s concerning about this is he wasn’t just a typical German infantryman (Wehrmacht), but Waffen SS - the military arm of the Nazi party. That almost certainly means he ideologically agreed with Nazism and was a fanatic. It also means there is a decent chance he was involved in war crimes on the battlefield.


These people are so demented. They will support anything they think fits the narrative despite reasonable objections.
