The media focus is on trans people in the US, but as I understand it there’s an equal statistical population representation in the UK, your country just goes out of their way to not only make it increasingly and near impossible to transition both socially and legally, but also makes a point of erasing trans people from your media.

I think it’s a political issue in America maybe? The political aspect could make it more “rebellious” to be transgender, creating more people to transition. They aren’t a lot of trans people so why have a representation of them in the media?

It’s a political issue because they are banning trans medical care, including something as innocuous as therapy sessions for trans kids, under the guise of protecting them and forgetting about those like Leelah Alcorn who infamously committed suicide and the event sparked the banning of religious conversion camps.
