Should everyone go on strike if they can’t afford to live?

I’m trying to get everyone to go on strike at once. This means you’ll quit your job. You won’t pay car insurance. You won’t buy gas. You won’t drive. You won’t pay for internet. You won’t pay rent. You won’t pay taxes. You won’t buy food. You won’t buy clothes. You’ll do everything to not support any company or corporations. No internet. No phone line. Nothing.
For at the very least 3-months.

Every last working-class individual. They will not be able to arrest every individual all at once. What do you think.

If you make hamburgers you are only worth a certain amount of money, because if you quit you can be easily replaced.

If they gave you more money, the price of hamburgers would go up. Then the people buying hamburgers would have to make more money. Then the cost of whatever they do for a job would go up, and people who buy whatever that is would have to make more money to be able to afford it. Then, by the time you had your higher pay, everything would cost more, and you still wouldn't be able to afford it.

15 years ago a burger cost $3. Then everyone said they needed $15/hr. instead of $6/hr. Everyone laughed at them, but then caved in and gave them $15/hr. The price of hamburgers went up, so now they're $10 and $15. The price of everything went way up. Including cars and houses and rent. A house back then was $200,000. Now it's $500,000. Rent was $900. Now it's 2,100.

So now the $15/hr. people still can't afford anything, and they want $20 and $25 and $30. Still with no skills, still making hamburgers.

You have a poor understanding of economics.

Housing has been going up faster and longer than wages. Wage increases are nothing more than inflation adjustments. Inflation is the result of housing prices going up.

Chinese labor is cheap, the price of manufactured goods are more expensive than ever. Why didn't prices go down when goods became made in China? Instead they went up.

Housing in many areas of the country is built by cheap illegal immigrants. Why is the price of housing more expensive than ever since cheap illegal immigrant labor is used to constructed the house?

Answer: the prices on the market have nothing to do with the cost of labor. It's only the difference in what the Corporation puts in the pocket.

Housing goes up since there is no competition, It's not Capitalism. It's pure exploitation, which would make it Communism.

The only reasons Employers can afford to pay soo little inspire of the high cost of living is because there are soo many people like you both WILLING and ABLE to work for that amount of money.

Frankly at your skill level a lot if not most of them are forign immigrate both legal and illegal. Your import people from most of the world a lot of them are willing able able to live 5 people to a room to work theses jobs and send the savings home.

That is why you can't afford to live because your not willing or legally able to do that.

This has been a problem for many decades, but its gotten a lot worse since Joe took office and intentionaly thew the doors open creating the current border crisis and importing 6+ million more such foreigners.

nope, you either learn the job skills necessary to get a better job or get a second and possibly a 3rd job.
In your scenario you would starve to death and die.
That also means no heat, electricity, running water, food, housing, sanitation ie toilets, garbage pickup, gas for your car, law enforcement, anything.
It will become survival of the fittest or to those that have the most guns, ammo and hunting skills that will come and take what they want and within a week you will be down to eating bugs if you can find them, taking a dump on the sidewalk or your corpse will be just bloating and smelling on the side of the road.

What good would Rioting do? Nobody cares if you choose to work for a job that doesn't pay you enough to live where the job is. Clearly you and more than enough other people ARE choosing such jobs or the employer would be FORCED to automate and/or offer more if they wanted anything done.

The key to your market power is your ability to walk away, if you can't walk way its because someone else is willing to do your job for that amount or less.
Given current prices that probably means their housing is being paid for via some other means like sharing a house with a lot of other people, as to reduce the rent to little to nothing.

Most likely the 5-6+ million new illegal immigrants that have been added during the border crisis of the last 3 years.
Unfortunately many of the young men coming up form Latin American typical find housing with 10+ people per house to keep their costs here low so they can live cheaply and send the money home.
You might notice they have similar high densities in traveling as well.

So if you want to live like them you might find your current wage more than enought.

They are like a nuclear bomb to big banks. Everyone of these banks became so big selling automobiles and oil to consumers over the past 70 years. If everyone went back to horse carriages it would destroy the banking system. It's like snatching the rug out from under them. They would collapse like a Jenga puzzle.

What would we do after?

Make a living selling horse carriages and all the services to them.. The people don't need big banks. Big banks need a compliant people.

The whole point of the strike was they couldn't already support current economic conditions. The strike is a level of doubling down. For a larger goal only attainable because everyone knows bosses doesn't know or do anything that actually makes money.

A strike presupposes your employer:
1: Is able to pay you more.
2: Can't just replace you with someone who actually wants to do the job for that money or less.

The first is not usually true unless they have a lot of market power. If 2 were true you could simply demand a raise.

Your real problem is high levels of immigration driving down wages and up prices for goods & services like housing and food.

Given many of theses jobs are under the table you would really have to go after them everywhere else as well. That means checking where they live, where they move, and vitally where they move money.

Only the States have the army and on the ground presence to even come close to do thing this.

The best the feds could do is setup a bounty system to allow anyone to collect.

I live very well and with the exception of a year as a sous chef have never had a job (and that was more about skills let alone the free food, free booze, friendships, fitness, f**king and rubbing shoulders with millionaires... I'd have done that for free)

Quitting your job won't help either. You still won't be able to live. What you're advocating is a general strike, which has been done before but it requires all trade unions to cooperate which isn't very likely in the modern age when most workers aren't even unionized.
