That 6 billion dollars is not American money, its Iranian money that was confiscated in South Korea and then handed over in a prisoner exchange. You are just giving Iran back their own money in exchange for human lives. Furthermore, Iran has not even gotten that money yet. It is currently stuck in a bank inside Qatar.

Biden mostly have the power over the military and can't unilaterally spend US government money. That falls in the hands of the house and senate who passes budgets and stuff like disaster relief. As such, Biden has an easier time to send tanks to Ukraine than money to Maui unless you think that sending Abrams tanks to Maui would somehow improve the situation.

Yes, that power was specifically taken from the president in 1973 along with the ability to control the military budget. The president is however still "the commander in chief" and the highest ranking military officer although this is a civilian rank to enforce the civilian control over the military.

More specifically though, that means that the president does have the authority to invade another country without declaring war. However this freedom to invade anything they want is time limited and after like 7 days (can't remember the exact number) the president can't continue without a declaration of war passed by congress.

It is a mess and quite frankly, if the president invades a country without a declaration of war that is basically the same thing as a declaration of war regardless if he has to pull back after 7 days.

Nobody Cares. The whole reason he is running as an Independent is that he failed to run as a Democrat and the only reason he ran as a Democrat is because he was pushed as a candidate to split the vote away from other Democratic candidates.

He is just a pawn in a scheme by Republicans to help their candidate win the presidential election and even in this he failed since it appears that he draws more voters from the Republican side than the Democratic one.

He is just a monument to failure at this point. Why on earth would you even bother bringing him up?
